If he is having between 30-60mls of fluids/hr, he should be ok. My kids always get diarrhea with tonsillitis, usually from the antibiotics and (tmi) from swallowing the pus that's on the tonsils. How long has he been on antibiotics for? I usually start seeing an improvement around day 2.

This sounds really weird but when DS had tonsillitis the only food I could get into him was that gross Kraft Mac n Cheese. It was soft enough for him. Also it was a bit salty so got him drinking water a bit more too.

Good luck - it's horrid when they are sick :-(

He isn't having anywhere near that :-( I just can't get him to drink!

I have managed to get him to sit with a bowl of baked beans. He has eaten a few but is garying like a champion!

It's horrible when they are so sick! Maybe let him suck on a cold wet face washer or even let him play with some cups of water, he might drink a bit if he is just 'playing'. Hopefully he starts to feel better soon.

Thanks. The baked beans have given him nappy rash so I guess I can't win. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

I really can't stand the Woolworths ads with Samantha Jade prancing around singing. They are just so grating. Please Woolworths, get rid of them/her.

I agree! And seriously- if it is so cold you have the need for ear muffs, then you should consider wearing pants or at least a dress long enough to cover the erm... "Other muff"...

I turned on the radio when I had a shower before... And they're playing the same ad on the radio. ARGH! Can't get away from it.
