Fil doesnt work weekends so he is much more able to work around ds's sleeps - so we see him usually in the mornings when ds is happy. Ds adores seeing him & they have great games.

My family are all shift workers so they are either working or sleeping at ds's best parts of the day. So they cant work around us & every time we see them ds is overtired & ends up screaming. He usually starts crying as soon as he sees them. It makes me so sad that my side of the family only ever get to see him screaming. I hope he'll have a good relationship with them when he gets older

Heading over there later this arvo as it was the only time that worked for them around shift work. Ds slept for an hour this morning & now is completely refusing to sleep. Hes been up since 10am & its now 2.40pm so this arvo will be yet another one of overtired screaming with the grandparents. it just makes me so sad.....

Omg people putting their bags of general food trash into the communal recycling bins, or worse, not putting it into bins at all. Its so lazy and inconsiderate and I wish that there was an appropriate punishment for it. Like banishing them to live on Recycling Island where they have to spend their days sorting rubbish from recycling since they're clearly not fit to live in civil society.

DSD and DSS have gone to bed, DH has announced he is going to bed too... great, another night where we spend no time together and where he will wake at 4am and wake me too...

Add to that that DSS went to bed saying he missed mummy... last time this happened it was because she told him, before dropping them here, that we had organised activities for DSD and not him...he spent the week having tantrums and moping, and we couldn't do any of the stuff we had planned, for both of them, all week. Sigh. Wonder what she said this time.

    DH!

Yet another set of school holidays where you have quit your job just before. Where your ex has changed stuff last minute so we could have kept our original plans. Where we now have 2 days with nothing planned for DSD (was supposed to be doing a workshop, but mum swapped it) and stuff planned for DSS... it's booked out so can't get her in, and DSS already knows about it.

Have no idea if we can get her in to anything at this late stage... and YOU, DH, are moaning about the fact that "this means we're not gonna have any freetime".

You have spent the last 2 days in front of your computer, while I entertain them! You've had plenty of free time, suck it up and help out!

And stop whinging! I don't like the fact that their activities are on at the same time in different places, on Fri night and Sat morn, but it is what it is. You take one, I take the other. Simple. It's 2 hours each day, get over yourself.

Default The Not So Serious Vent Thread #5

I am so grossed out, I just walked through my colleagues fart. Excuse me while I go burn my clothes and vomit.

ETA I just sent my other colleague a message to let her know about it and "fart" auto corrected to Gary!

You need to walk past your flatulent colleague and whisper "I hear you know Gary...."
