Default Bachelor of Nursing external students?

Just wondering who is doing their bachelor of nursing externally.
I'm so confused by uni! It doesn't make sense to me how it all works... I am thinking of defering until next semester so I dan get my head around things...
Basically we watch the lecture online and tutorial online?

Can someone help explain how uni works.. Haha thankyou!

I have a 2year old and work full time .

If they post a lecture online, watch it.

Go through each topic, it should have activities and readings for you to do each week.

You will probably have a discussion board. That is like your tutorial. You should be asked to post work and respond to others work through that.
Some uni's also have 'virtual classrooms' which is a tutorial. It's like a chat room, at a set time with the tutor online as well.

Make sure you have your assessment guide. The most important thing is getting them done. If you are struggling, you can get away with doing no course work, and just doing the assessments. It's not ideal of course, but it's possible.

Exams you will have at an exam centre near you.

You will have workshops where you will need to attend uni to do practical stuff. They are usually 2 days or so a semester.

I would recommend you look at choosing a uni that is close to you. That way, the uni itself is still accessible.

Hi OP. Sorry if this is obvious, but i thought i would mention it to be sure you know as you're new to uni. If you are thinking of deferring, make sure you do it before the HECS census date so you don't have to pay. Its been a while since i studied, but the cut off day used to be about the end of March. Good luck!

Ps if you're not sure about stuff, ask the lecturer, they should be able to help you :-)

I am doing my masters online.... I suffer from chronic procrastination. I do agree it gets confusing at the start of what to do, but just be honest with the lecturers about what you don't understand and they'll help
