Default Spin off: Under foundation primers

Spin-off thread from the recommend a foundation. Primers- What's great, what's not? Are the more expensive ones worth the $$$ or will a cheaper $20-$30 one do the job?

    Subbing.

I bought a cheaper one the other day which seems to do the job, but I'm interested to see what others think.

I use NP set ($30ish) and find t just as good as the more expensive ones that I've used.

After just trying Rimmel, I'm going to get that next (under $15 and often on special at Priceline)

Some cheap ones that I've tried and am not keen on are Australis and Savvy. Their consistency is too wet for a good base.

I have a Napolean one which I love. I was sceptical the first time someone suggested I try a primer but it glides on and doesn't feel heavy or greasy and really seems to make my foundation work so much better.

I tried Porefessional from Benefit and it broke me out! I use one from Younique now. It's silky and hydrating under my foundation which I like quite matte

Porfessional by Benefit or Napolean Auto pilot, a little goes a long way!

I used a Mary Kay primer it was amazing. Unfortunately I can't keep up the cost of that so use the Stay Matte primer
