    Thanks Nicky. I debated whether to write that since it's so rare for that to happen but I thought the OP might want a different perspective. I always cringe a bit when people announce on Facebook at 12 weeks but purely because my experience has made me completely superstitious!

    Yeah thats understandable @Sally1981 It does seem to be rare, but as u have found out sadly does happen. I even felt nervous announcing mine after 12 weeks, as my sister had many years before miscarried at 14 weeks. To be honest I would have held out a bit longer to announce mine than I could, but I'm a nurse and was already having to lie that I was suffering from back pain so it was easier to tell the truth. U will probably be more cautious in the future because of this experience, but u definitely need to do what is necessary for u to protect yourself emotionally xx
