I paid for swimming lessons today plus a deposit for next terms lessons. I really want my kids to know how to swim but the price is getting so hard to budget for. The boys also want to learn boxing (not boxing boxing though) which would be good for their core strength, which they both need work on plus DD wants to do dance lessons as well. Just the thought of it all is doing my head in! They all need more physical exercise. I just wish things were cheaper!

We do what we have to to get by. I'm finding food quite expensive. The same fortnights worth of groceries that was costing up $250-$300 a year ago is now costing us $350-$400. I just can't work out why.

DS was at qjam doing acting and hip hop but we had to pull him out when it just got too much on the budget. He was at Allstar before that and it was costing as much as the 2 classes at qjam. We were thinking of seeing what martial arts they have at PCYC. It's usually cheaper.

I know. After the mortgage and school fees it my next biggest expense.
I am lucky that none of us have food related allergies.

Yes the boxing is at PCYC. A lady at the kids school highly recommends it. I found a good dance place and the lessons are pretty cheap, can't remember the name now. Will go investigate.

I'll pass on the recommendation to the neighbour. I think she's still looking for something for her DD to do. DS really wants to get back into acting but it's just too much at the moment. Plus I'd rather him go to Empire but he wasn't to go back to qjam.

Default Weekend chat thread. All welcome.

Hello all! I'm shattered. Spent the arvo helping my little brother move house. His relationship broke down about three weeks ago but they have been stuck living together till now. Even lent him our air matress so he could sleep there tonight instead of waiting for the truck next week. Poor thing. He falls way too hard, way too fast and ends up with his heart broken.

I am spending my night watching hart of dixie. I am really excited to meet my first nephew this weekend. (Is it still my nephew if it is my fiancè's sister's baby?) Either way I can't wait to have baby cuddles!
