Default PLEASE HELP..I skipped a birth control pill and didn't double up the next day

I have started my new pack of BC pills and I lost day 3 pill down the drain. I skipped that pill and did not take any for the day,i didn't know what to do. I continued on taking the 4th pill as normal the following morning. I didn't double up to compensate the lost pill What are the risks of falling Pregnant? Has anyone fallen pregnant by skipping a pill and not doubling up the next day?

If you miss a pill, even if you double up the next day it's always a good idea to make sure you don't rely on it for birth control for the next week. Use condoms for 7 days and keep taking the pill. It will say in the packet what to do but it usually says to make sure you use extra protection as there is a risk of falling preg if you miss pills.

I'd use an alternate form of contraception for the entire month. Every brand is different and the one I was on didn't work that month if I missed 2 pills in a row and specially in the first 7 days.
