I didn't love The Bride Stripped Bare either. I was quite disappointed because Nicki Gemmell had written two awesome books prior to that - Shiver and Cleave - and I just couldn't stand the main character. I also never understood why she chose to write it anonymously but then again I liked the other two and not this one, so maybe not such a bad idea... It did get a lot of hype when it was first released.

I kind of tune out during all the long descriptive passages because I have no visual imagination and I don't get a mental image so it just bores me, but otherwise...wow!
I'm not sure I'll get through the whole series. I've enjoyed the first two but they are competing with a pile of other books that I want to read. Such a long series is a big time commitment for a time-poor mum...
