Hey all, just wondering if any one has used their super to access ivf? I see repromed are now partnered with Supercare who can help you access your super for ivf. Any thoughts or does anyone know what they charge to access it? Thanks in advance. Stay cool over the next few days

No I haven't but my understanding of this is that you can't access super for ivf BUT you can access super for medical treatment for a serious mental illness. So in some cases people with mental health problems related to infertility have accessed super through this route and I suspect this is what supercare do. In another thread on bubhub I think they said the fee from supercare is about a grand?
Incidentally we went through flinders ivf which is considerably cheaper than repromed if that's an option?

No sorry. Have you already made an appointment or looking to? If you haven't made one yet, what do you want to see a paed about? Maybe someone has a recommendation based on what issue you need to see a paed about

There's a place called lively eaters on Payneham road. They deal with all manner of eating issues.

    http://www.livelyeaters.com.au you don't need a paed referral.

From what I understand you'll need to see one through the women's and children's hospital to have it bulk billed/free.

Generally only GPs do bulk billing not specialists like speech therapists, but I might be wrong

Im not sure about IVF but you can for weight loss surgery I basically think you can for any medical procedure these days as they want you paying not them. What happens is you print form, GP fills in and specialist and lodged to my gov website takes a few weeks to be approved. The problem is though you need to 'guess' how much you need. IVF would be hard. You might only need 10k or might need 50k (Depending on rounds etc!) I don't even know costs! I hope I'm making sense but I'm pretty sure flinders is cheaper isn't it @gingermillie my friend went there most her tests were on Medicare and then very cheap she was on Centrelink
