I think she enjoyed it, as only a 1 year old can. We didn't do much, as we're a bit light on for finances at the moment, and we're having a party for her in our church hall on Saturday morning (45 people coming, including 13 kids) - eeeeeeek! I just took her down to Michel's Patisserie at Castle Plaza, and bought and spoon fed her her first babycino (and she finished about two thirds of it), and we shared a gingerbread man shaped cookie. She crashed just before 6:00 pm, and only woke up at about 8:00 pm when there was a loud knock on the door, which turned out to be the cellophane bags I'd ordered being delivered.

Sounds like you both had a wonderful time. We did our party on Sunday. It was interesting..

I haven't really looked much into playgroups yet. I think there is one on Friday mornings at Plympton South Kindy, which I think is $3 or $4 per session. We were told that most kids that go to that one are around 2 or 3 years old.

I think there is also one at Forbes Children's Centre in Thomas Street on Saturday mornings during school terms from 9:30 am. This is what it says on their website:- "Can’t get to a usual weekday Playgroup? Looking for somewhere for your toddler orpreschooler to have fun on a Saturday morning?Come to Playgroup to meet others, and let yourchild explore painting, cooking, play dough, puzzles, singing & stories.9:30 am – 11:30 am during school terms.Resumes 2nd May in the Toddler Room at the Children’s Centre. Cost $2.50 per family. Fruit provided. ALL WELCOME.".

I have my MOPS group tomorrow morning at 9:30, but I can't remember what the kids do there. It's at SouthPoint Church of Christ (formerly Edwardstown Community Church) on the corner of Towers Terrace and De Laine Avenue Edwardstown, $5 per fortnight, no booking necessary, for kids from birth to 5 years.

Can I please ask if MOPS is about religion? Or you just turn up and let the child play and then go home?
