Adelaide is rather tiny.... I figure that even if none of us know each other, we probably all have mutual friends/acquaintances.

Yes adelaide is only a 2 degree level of seperation. I know i am only a 2 degree to everyone on here when it comes to my job. I won't say what i do on an open forum but i accept pm's.

For cakes. Meridian patisserie on port road is the best and to die for. It is heaven trapped in cake form. That is where they order cakes from for parliament house.......drool

I'm not technically an Adelaidian, but was born here (I say here because I'm in Adelaide currently). I was born at Burnside and lived in Valley View. I totally get the knowing everyone else thing though. Every time im here with Mum she either runs into someone she knows or sees a death notice/obituary in the paper of someone she knows. And there are so many people that everyone has in common. It's a bit scary haha

    It is isn't it!

My DH grew up living next door to my best friends Aunty and uncle who she visited regularly. She was with me the night I met DH. Originally she was meant to be having dinner at their house the night we met, but they cancelled so she came out with me instead! 😯

I should also add its been 23yrs since we left Adelaide, but that doesn't seem to matter!

It was odd yesterday as I bumped into my cousin and his wife at the shops. I mean, the shops are near where they live so it's not that so much, but just that I'm not used to randomly bumping into family members haha.

I go there all the time. If you see a really tall blonde tired looking mum with a geek shirt and an immaculate mountain buggy pram...it is most likely me. People like stopping me there to ask about my pram. Lol

My autistic son loves hoping around the shops stimming and saying over and over "i am mr easter bunny". So a chatty 3 yr old usually doesn't even register.

Also if you see a kid doing that....it is guaranteed it is me.

Yip. I hang around Marion often, and when we get the chance we do our grocery shopping at Castle Plaza.
