I've been to Jamies - it's an amazing restaurant for atmosphere, staff are friendly. Food is good, depends what you want. It's not cheap, I found I had to eat an entree and main and I was just full. I had fried ravioli for entree (amazing!) and the pork belly for dinner. Both small servings, wouldn't satisfy a big burly bloke! Saying that, the pasta my friends had was unbelievable!

Or try Peel street. Some lovely places to eat there.

Yes- it's great! And affordable, too.

Melt on Waymouth is fantastic too. Share table gets you a selection of tapas, pizza and dessert pizza for a great price.

I haven't read the whole thread so sorry for crashing but just wanted to share our faves - peel street (on peel street), chianti, bistro Dom and press. Also love hill of grace at adelaide oval.

We went to shiki a few months ago and were underwhelmed but I think we may have ordered wrong as my fussy brother just went and loved it.

I'm battling severe hypermesis gravidarum and longing for the day I can eat out again!

The Japanese place on North tce is amazing! Miyaki something? Melt is good, but loud and not romantic. Bistro Dom on peel street is highly recommended!

Ginza Miyako! I think the casino has had a revamp. There might be some good restaurants in there?
