DH and I are thinking of moving to the hills, but that probably won't be for a few years I think, probably after we have a second bub

Oh wow, so many people, exciting.

I grew up in Melbourne and moved to Adelaide around 5 years ago.

I'm down south (around Edwardstown area)

I grew up in the Southern suburbs (near Brighton/Seacliff), then moved North-West when DP and I bought a place. I love the area (around Semaphore), but don't know whether we'll stay here long term. DP's keen on moving to the hills eventually...we'll see.

Dependent on area can be quite pricey.
Also need to consider you will need a bushfire plan and your house to be bushfire ready, something that is overlooked by too many people these days.

That's a good point! I personally am too scared of snakes and spiders to leave suburbia. I do like the quietness of the hills however.
