    Default Daycare food with allergies

Hi I was just wondering if anyone has a child with allergies in a long day care that supplies meals? If so what was sorted out between what you will provide and what the day care will supply?

Also I am in NSW - does anyone know the name of the governing body of daycares that I may be able to chat to?

I don't have a child with allergies but I know our centre supplies everything and caters to allergies.

in our day care each child with allergies/intolorences has a placemat with their photo on it in large and it lists their allergies. some kids take their own lunchboxes as a precaution or the centre caters to the allergies.

My centre caters to majority of allergies. In saying that we also don't have many allergies in the centre. We are already a nut free centre.
One child is allergic to nuts so if the meal requires eggs the chef will just cook a seperate one without eggs for that child.

Another child can't have regular yogurt so we purchase soy yogurt

And a few children can't eat beef or pork so that's substituted in meals

Fruit allergies we usually just don't supply that fruit to any kids.

Our childcare is only no nuts. We pack our own food

Dd and ds are lactose intolerant. I hate packing food!!!!
