Ha ha I am a vego and I can't stand them! Drives me crazy when pretty much every vegetarian option at a restaurant has mushrooms in them....

    Yes.

    YES!

    Yes.

When I am going through my vegetarian stages it is damn difficult to find veggie options that don't have mushrooms. And I had the mother of all tanties when I was pregnant and ordered chicken pasta at a cafe. There were more mushrooms than chicken. I said to them 'why didn't you call it chicken and mushroom pasta? There are more mushrooms than chicken!!!'

And they were like 'I dunno. Doesn't everyone like mushrooms?'

    No. No they don't.

    I may have cried.

Oh Harvs I totally feel your pain, it seems they assume because you are vegetarian you must LOVE mushrooms um NOPE!!!

I think I would have cried too!

The other thing I find frustrating is that usually the vegetarian option is lasagne or some pasta, hardly anything imaginative!

Oh and another one I can't stand is coriander blah!!!

    Hungry jacks
    Maccers
    KFC
    Subway

Anything similar to the above list I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole!

Anything that's "actual" food, I happily eat, I'm not fussy

I have to ask but why subway? We eat all the above bar KFC just because my baked chicken trumps theirs and its so oily *bleh* and I'm aware that subway isnt the whole healthy eating people think it is. But I dont know how much you can fake salad? The meat? Meh. Cheese. Ill pass. But a vegie delight sub. Omm nom nom. I'd pick that over maccas or hungry jacks any day. Im not trying to be rude btw. Just asking incase there is something horribe about subway I dont knkw about lol

I love subway when it's fresh, but I have bought vegie subs before where the tomato has that 'cut up 2 days ago' taste and the salad is limp and yuck.
