@MrsChino - I'm so sorry about your appt. I do hope though that another FS is what you need to see what else you could try. And I agree - kudos to your FS for suggesting that too. Sending hugs to you and I hope time flies by in the meantime.
@Keiko2012 - oh luv it's not easy is it. I'm so sorry. I understand you not being ready for donor eggs yet. I wouldn't be either. Maybe doing a day 3 transfer wouldn't be a bad idea if you haven't tried that yet. I'm sending hugs your way too.
@Ducky01 - I'm glad your procedure went well and you're feeling okay. I agree Wazza is so lovely and funny. When he rang my DP afterwards to say how I went, she said to him - 'oh that was quick! You don't muck around do you - in and out!' And he replied something along the lines of 'oh yeah that's what my wife says'. 😄 and I start stabbing next Tuesday after my day 2 appt - eeek!! That's come way too fast!!
@BecT - what a bummer they couldn't find your lefty!! I really hope they see a good surge - something good has to come from daily BT's you poor thing!!

@MammaMel - welcome! Are you cycling again soon? Is that some kind of animal you are referring to? We all decided here that animals are the best people I just watched an hour long show on cat videos and strangely I feel more optimistic about life in general. Could also be the opioids I had in theatre and the hours of afternoon napping but hey.
@Keiko2012 - we got the donor word thrown around last appointment too as you know and it's a tough word to hear when you are relatively young, I completely agree. Was any mention made of trying growth hormone? I know you are already on the cocktail of other things. To face a 12 hour night shift after today- respect- you are strong. I know its hard to take uninspiring appointment news but hey you are producing eggs, they are fertilising and you got to blast last time so it's not all over yet, it's just going to mean keep going til you get a lucky embie and we are all here to help each other through that. Just think- the shift loading you will get from a 12 hour public holiday night can go in the IVF money bank- eye on the prize. Infertility sucks though, it really does and it's such a hidden pain/burden. But you aren't out yet. As for down regulating on the pill- it confuses me- I know it's used - but why do some specialists use the pill and other's use awful synarel or lucrin- do you overlap with those or go straight from the pill onto stims? Will you transfer more than one embie? I think we will if we get more than one. Anyway good luck tonight- I'm shuddering for you at the thought of 12 hours.

ETA - @Ree888 I actually laughed out loud at your comment re Wazza and what he said- it doesn't surprise me. Ive never quite met a dr like him! Totally inappropriate but he totally gets away with it.

Thanks @Ducky01, yes was talking about my cat. Sorry for the confusion, he's a bit too well-fed, so i sometimes call him a puddha. Or buddha. ☺.
Wishing you a really good august cycle, will have my fingers crossed for everyones next go.
We will have our 2nd attempt in august, an antagonist cycle this time around. Was an agonist last go, with eight fertilised but only two ok to transfer. One didnt take and the other is our ice ice baby. Couldn't resist, soz.
Happy Ekka, so good to have ditched work and be soaking up some sun.

Thanks lovely peeps. Not coping real well at the moment with those news and without sounding melodramatic I just feel it's all over.
Have been looking at egg donation Australia and signed up. So hopefully get approved soon so I can get some more info. Also thinking about going gf sugar free and organic as much as I can. I just don't know what I can do anymore to improve my chances. So willing to throw it all on there. I know there's still a chance but it seems that this will be much more of a miracle than first expected. Maybe it's just post night shift emotions - I don't know. All I know is that I would just like to become a parent. And I'm over the heartbreaks along the line. Will do personals later.

Ah dammit @Keiko2012. I know there isn't anything I can say that will make you feel better, but I get it and I'm sorry. Hang in there love - big big hugs.

@Keiko2012 - hugs. We get it. It sucks. Hugely. It sucks finding out the infertility diagnosis as a couple, it sucks learning IVF is the only option and it super sucks when it doesn't work as I don't think we are counselled enough as to how long it can take. We grieve every step of the process, it's normal because what should be easy/natural is not. I think by all means look into this donor thing but I think you owe yourself another round at least. Have you looked into embryo donation (as you are already using donor sperm)? Night shift plays crazies with your head, these awful feelings will pass, I know it's never easy but it always goes up and down in waves xo

@MamaMell you made me laugh we also have 3 very big pumbah cats. Love them to pieces though.

@Heyside how did your naturopath appt go?

@BecT any news on the surge yet?

@MrsChino sucks the wait doesn't it. And waiting for appts feels like a waste of time. Hoping the new specialist has some answers for you or even ideas.

@Ducky01 - fs has mentioned growth hormones but said not this cycle. He said they cost $1400 each and he has seen 50/50 results. For some it works for others not at all. Haven't looked into embryo donation but might as well! If it comes to that I'll see what's cheaper. People are so selfless who actually donate their embryos.

Finished my nights for this week! hooray! Only to scratch my car on the way out
Of the bloody car park! Seriously! Luck is not on my side atm.

To add to my incredibly bad mood, bubhub ate the post I just wrote out. Aaaaargh!

Anywho, thanks @keiko - no surge. FS rang today and said there was no shift in LH at all so in for an appointment and scan tomorrow and we will discuss what next. I hate knowing my lil Marshmallow is there in the freezer and my body won't get it together to transfer. With the exception of my short lived BFP, there hasn't been a whole lot of good news in this crappy year so far so I don't have high expectations. Hooray for finishing night shift though! I hope your luck changes soon because it has been one crazy ride for you. Sending hugs xo

We should arrange a meet up sometime ladies!

    Default Brisbane IVF'ers 2015

So sorry to hear Keiko God maybe we would be better off to find 2 super fertile people, put them through a cycle and take a blasty each! Not such a bad idea really 😳

Bit more of a kick in the guts is that I myself donated eggs 7 years ago and had a verbal agreement that they were for only this certain person to use. My 19 year old self gave 27 eggs, that turned into 14 snow babies! (No wonder I'm disappointed when my 18 turned to 3!).... Anyway long story short, it worked, there's a beautiful little 6 year old girl here in the world after the 2nd transfer. But rather than respecting my wishes the other 12 embryos were on donated and just last year while I was suffering through infertility, someone else was giving birth to my bio baby! I have come to terms with it especially being on this road myself, but I could have used them, or chosen myself who to give them to! (You'd be #1 Keiko, and I swear I'm not bias in saying I make the most beautiful daughters 😜).

So much has happened and I've been trying to jump on and catch up, and also update but it's been hectic here! I managed to talk my FS into a NATURAL FET!! So without even having the funds for it (trying to do my tax return but think I'll be sweet talking my dad to loan his credit card as mine is maxed from a last cycle 😁) we are back to back cycling atm! But being with the low cost clinic I have agreed that if I don't ovulate at day 14, then they have to can it. So going in knowing it's only 50/50 chance I'll make it to transfer... And not having the funds lol 😁

Oh and all this Talk about furry babies.... Well look what my daughter got for her bday 😉 (I'll delete Tomorrow for privacy reasons) xx

Oh no @BecT! Good luck at your appt today. Could your surge just be late? As ovulation is just further away? I'm crossing my fingers for you. Let us know how you go. 😊

@StillHopeful omg that kitten is adorable!!!! I just want to smooch it. In our household the talks about a dog have become more serious but some days I'm like lets go get one
And the next I'm not so sure.

Wow I can't believe you had 14 embies in the freezer! Who donated them? Wouldn't you have to sign papers that you wanted to do that. I guess as a 19 year old you don't necessarily would have thought that you might need them later on. It would be tough finding out people are having babies from your batch whilst you are trying to have one too. Glad you are doing a natural Fet- worth trying something different. Are yours all day 4 embryos? I'm considering asking for transferring 2 day 3's when the time does come to up my chances. But if they don't make it until day 5 in the dish I'm not sure what the hope is for day 3's. As by day 3 they still all look ok.

Happy for a catch up ladies. I'm usually free most Saturday's and some Sunday's. And days during the week depending what shifts I'm doing. Where would we all like to catch up?
