Thanks for all the support guys xx

BT is done so just to wait for the call to stop meds. I've pretty much accepted it but there's always that tugging thought at the back of your mind praying for a miracle! Gosh this year has been so bad. Funeral last Tuesday of a close family friend. She was 88 so in perspective but still very sad. And Then last night the whole family was called to the hospital as my grandfather has been given not much chance over the next few days. And another cycle failed and so many bills stacking up that I'm not sure how to make another FET work soon. Would really love to try a natural cycle without the constant reminder of takin meds. But I don't think the cheap clinic will do it. And the thought that the end of the year is looming, so we will have to hit another safety net which means nothing back on a FET if we can't get them done before December. And all that's besides the point that I can't see our embryos working after the 'best one by far' failed.... Sorry for such a negative post. Under the circumstances I'm doing pretty well. Think I'm just over it all

Oh @StillHopeful what a crappy week it's been for you. So sorry to hear about the funeral and your grandpa not doing well. It makes everything just so much worse when you end up with a BFN. Big big hugs!

@nhungsino Welcome and all the very best for your cycle!

@Ree888 I’m glad you’re feeling okay after Wednesday. I hope the new approach and Wazza’s magic do the trick for you this time. Your animals sound lovely!

@Keiko2012 I’m so glad the bub you were looking after has re-ignited your determination. Hopefully it won’t be too long before that fight pays off and you have your own bub in your arms.

@StillHopeful. I’m so sorry – what an awful week you’ve had. I don’t blame you one bit for being over it. Go easy on yourself love - all this ****e is bound to take a toll

@Ree888 - we will almost be cycle buddies under Wazza- is this your first cycle with him? Ive got so much hope riding on this poor man!!! Did you have your hysteroscopy, biopsy and lipoidal flush yesterday? I've got mine next week. How are you going with all the supplememts? I've got mine in a pill dispenser like a geriatric! We have a shepherd too- aren't they fantastic companions
@StillHopeful- I hope you start to heal soon- the next couple of days are going to be the hardest- have a cry and you can always post on here about how much it sucks- we get it- we've all been there recently. Maybe the winter months aren't ideal for making babies. Bring on spring- new life, new hope and all the rest of it. I think we were at the same clinic- they don't do natural fets as I understand but the doc assured me success is the same for medicated- it would be good to squeeze one in before safety net- and don't try and dwell on the grading thing- lots of IVF babies have come from less than glamorous looking embies. I got my bfn phone call from the new nurse there- poor thing having to dish out the bad news.
@Keiko2012 - you are amazing, bouncing back so fast- you are right though- we just need to soldier on and gear up to go again- as hard as each failure is. I went to the gym this morning and they had those inspirational quotes up about working hard and struggling for success but not giving up- and I saw it and didn't think about it in the context exercise/getting big guns but instead about IVF!
We both must work in healthcare. Sucks having to care for others sometimes when you need care yourself.

Ladies who who use donor sperm- is it imported or do you use australian stuff?! If it's local- do you get a profile on who it's from etc. My FS mentioned donor might be on the horizon, DH is battling bigtime with the idea but I guess I just want to know a bit more.

Hi @Ducky01 oh that's cool we'll almost be cycling at the same tome with the same FS yes this is my first cycle with him. I've had 5 transfers previously with another FS in the Qfg group who I really liked but it just wasn't working so I thought I'd give the famous Wazza a try. He's so nice. Sups are going well but I just cannot stomach that Berocca. I loathe the stuff. So taking everything else but that. Wazza has me down for an intralipid infusion - has anyone else had one of these and know the approximate cost? I don't know if we're going to be able to afford it....all the best with your procedure next week!! I'm still a bit crampy today but it wasn't too bad.
In regards to the donor sperm you can get either Australian or American. Australian is free (apart from storage fees) and you prob won't get photos. You'll get a basic profile with physical characteristics and genetic history. American you have to pay for (very expensive) but you do get photos and more information.

Hey @Ducky01. At out clinic you can get Qld sperm for $500 and a one page sheet of basic info on the donor. Or sperm from the European sperm bank ( but it's sperm from America) and you get a detailed 5-10 page document - I think more like 10 and it has all the history including grandparents ect on their physicals their education and health history. Then usually a short letter from the donor and sometimes a baby photo. I can completely understand that your DP has mixed feelings about it. So did mine. It's took a while to accept it and once we found the donor we liked it was easy. But now we are looking at swapping and it feels like we are
Starting the process again. It's a big step. I mean it's half of your child's genetics. But columnist enough our last donor wasn't so much chosen on our ideal physical match ( as close to DP as possible) rather than his answers to the questions - he just seemed so down to earth and loving and a real family person. That's why we went with him!

Ree888 - Glad to hear all went well with your op and Wazza doesn't think the heart shaped uterus will effect things. Good luck with your next cycle snd hopefully the change to gonal F will make a difference. As for the intralipids hun I have used them for my last 3 FET's and you will be pleased to know they are so much cheaper in QLD. I have mine done in the back of my fs office, I think I only have half a dose at 250ml where as lots of ladies have 500ml and its costs me $100. I have read women in NSW have to have theres in hospital and it can cost them around $1000 which just doesn't seem right.

Keiko - Glad to hear looking after the new bub has helped your healing hun anf made you even more determined.

StillHopeful - Thoughts wigh you hun, would love you to have received your miracle but if not take time for yourself you deserve it. Sounds like you have had a really ****ty week big hugs hun x

Nhungsino - Welcome hun, good luck for your cycle.

Ducky - my clinic does American sperm from Xytex. We had about 9 or 10 profiles to choose from, which have a pic of the donor as a very young child and as an adult, and quite a bit of info, including a few paragraphs written by the donor themselves which is nice. I can't for the life of me remember what we paid though! I want to say $700 per vial, but that sounds like a lot.. it's not cheap though.
