Default 2 year old circumcision - best way

Subbing...my 4 year old has phimosis too causing bad balanitis and it is looking likely that he will have to be circumcised.

I do hope you get an answer soon to.
I wish I had done it sooner.

Thank you @sookiestackedhouse... They have given him steroid cream for a month but I really don't think it will work. The GP and docs at the ED (when he had the bad balanitis) were very surprised at how tight it is.

The cream did nothing for Ds1 either but they have to get rid of any swelling and infection before they can give you an answer. Good luck. Just follow the steps and your half way to a fix.

Poor thing. Fingers crossed the cream does help. My little one is much better now after a few days of antibiotics but I don't think his case was that bad. He also lets us clean and touch it ok now because that was what was worrying me the most.

My DS has suffered from phimosis and balanitis for years, he is now 8 and we still constantly deal with sore and tight skin. We have been told we have more than enough medical grounds to have it done (inc emergency bladder drain from balanitis). We still use diprosone intermittently when it gets infected - we just can't bring ourselves to make the decision.

I am sorry you are going threw this to.
At 8 I would ask your child how he feels. If he can understand the process and the ongoing pain of not getting it done then I would let him weigh in on your decision.
