    Hi there Babyplz

You must be pleased to be getting very close to the business end of things!

As for me, I'm in the process of doing another flare cycle and due to have egg retrieval tomorrow. Yay! There looked to be about 7-8 mature follicles at my last scan. We're going to have PGD this cycle, assuming there are blastocysts to work with of course. Fingers crossed for both of us, and thanks for checking in.

@Golden Egg: oh....i haven't been following this thread for a while. Good to see that you are back in the game for a cycle.
@corzjayne: i vaguely remember you. Since you have MFI, i suspect it is the sperm problem given that non-fertilized. I am a poor responder based on my AMH and dosage. On my second STIM, I was on 300 IU menopur and on antagonist cycle rather than long down, I got 8 mature eggs. It wasn't much more than my first STIM cycle when i was only on 150 IU gonal-f. Normal people would be getting 12+ mature eggs with 300 IU. 12+ is also what my FS was aiming as well. Granted, quality over quantity. I was lucky enough to have one blast transferred. The huge difference is that we used DS this cycle and 7 fertilized as compared to 1 fertilized using poor quality retrieved sperm. I am seeing a similar good fertilization rate recently for the ladies on the azoo thread using DS. When I walked in for the transfer, FS commented that there is nothing wrong with my eggs despite being a poor responder. She was saying it based on the excellent fertilization rate and the end result.

Perhaps your clinic really needs to focus on MFI in your case. Get the sample tested for DNA fragmentation etc. Also, on your side, perhaps adding some more vitamins. I was on a long list of vitamins. FS added more everytime i spoke to her. Happy to share the list if you want.

Hi bbhope. I think we had dna fragmentation cheacked and it was normal. We r using icsi. We had to use fresh sperm sample with delayed frozen eggs. Due to sum issues. But this time both will be fresh. My clinic thinks this was the reason they fertalized late. They got to 2 cells later than normal according to fs. And they decided it be best not to transfer any of them hoping for better luck this time.
If it doesnt i will be speaking to then about the condition of sperm ect for more help. My dh stated he is happy to use donor sperm but only if we fail like 4 cycles. So i guess il have to hope for the best.

Ya, from what i read, frozen eggs aren't thawed as well as sperms.

What did you mean by not transferring? You actually had good embies and they decided not to transfer one? 2 cells less embies doesn't mean they aren't good as long as they go to blast in the end.

I dont know they said they didnt fertalize until like a day late. So they decided it be less risky to use them. But im not sure. I was dissapointed. But hopefully with bith fresh we get better results.

@Golden Egg. How did Egg Collection go? Have you transferred any embies?

AFM, I'm on my 3rd day of 450iui Gonal F. I think my ovaries are already working as I can feel some sharp pains. I've never had it before and I know it's very early so am second guessing myself, BUT, I'm staying positive Who knows, little eggs could be developing!!!

I was on 250 gonal f and 150 Luveris - got 4 eggs. All of them fertilised with ICSI but only one made it to day 5 - and I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant with that one.
