Unhappy Restraints on Jetstar plane for a nearly 3 year old and six year old?

I've tried going through the convoluted website information about what to do with DD (2 years, 11 months at time of travel), and DS (6 years, 9 months at time of travel) and what I should be supplying to restrain them with on the plane. If anyone could help, it would be appreciated.

I really only want to check their carseats into baggage for use at the arrival destination, and not use them on board. But apart from the CARES system I cannot find anything as to what I use on board?

My understanding is that they supply child restraints on the plane, that attach to the seatbelts.

If you don't want to use your car seats on board then cares restraints are your only choice. Jetstar will let you use restraints with an inbuilt harness on board for no charge - it can be a pain in the airport though.

toddlers and children will have a seat belt just like you. Esp your older child . They won't allow car seats etc . Take plenty of books, treats, toys to entertain . My gf and her Dh and 5 yr old flew to the Uk and she packed colouring in books , books , and lots of snacks

You can use car seats on some international flights for kids who are old enough for their own seat. Some airlines let you take capsules on as well.

Domestically- kids over 2yo get their own seat and lap belt like adults.
