Default Faint positiveS on a HPT

So we are currently TTC, I've tested with a HPT, 6, 4 and 2 days before my period was due and all came up negative. I tested late evening of the day I was due (yesterday) and got a very very faint positive. I wasn't sure if it was a false positive due to using a cheap brand HPT. I went down to the chemist and brought a 3 pack of first response and used another 2 last night and there is defiantly a very very light positive on both. So I decided to save the last one to test this morning at 5am (thinking is get a darker line) and it came up negative, when I checked again a few hours later there was a even fainter line than the others. I'm not sure if we missed it as I only had a lamp on, but we did shine our phones on it and we couldn't see anything.
I've been having slight back cramping since late last night, but not sure if I feel like I'm getting my period. I've started getting a little bit of heartburn, which I had in my last pregnancy. Not sure if that's wishful thinking or it's really happening. I'm trying not to imagine things, but part of me thinks I could be, especially seeing those faint positives.

I've recently gave birth to my daughter 15 weeks ago, I only just got my first period on the cycle we TTC on, so I wasny even sure if I would ovulate.
I know it's quite soon TTC again, but I've got huge gaps between my older too children and my baby. My partner is also turning 40 and doesn't want any more children after that, so we decided we'd go back to back

A very faint line is positive!!! I think when you test early on, it can be faint because you may have only just implanted and therefore the hormone level will be quite low at that point. Have you tested again? I had more luck with a digital test.

I actually went and had my bloods taken at the doctors and I'm pregnant! :-)
