Default Our dinner conversation - Re: Baby Names

So this happened this evening -

Me: "So if we decided to have another child and had a boy, what would you want to name him??"

    DH: *thinks*
"Oh yep! What about Donnie? Optimus? Megatron?

    Me: "please be serious"

    DH: "ok ok" *thinks again*
    "What about Dragon?"

Really DH, Dragon? Thank god I filled out the paperwork to name our children as who knows what we could have ended up with!!

Any other husbands think up some terrible names like mine?!

My xdh was dead set on Bruce Wayne. He also tried to throw Mary Jane in the mix if ds was a girl!

The terrible name that DP suggested when I was pregnant is now DS's permanent nickname I insisted we still give him a "real" name on his paperwork, but we even chose that to match.

Haha we called DS Jupiter when he was first born as he was a gassy giant!

Df threw Phoenix at me when pg with the boys.

I know that it's a legit name and if you have a Phoenix that's cool. Just not for me.

Plus my first boyfriend named his son Phoenix and I don't need a constant reminder of how my heart was ripped out thankyouverymuch

DH suggested Agatha or Gertrude for our daughter. Yet he thinks I have weird taste in names....

Default Our dinner conversation - Re: Baby Names

I went to school with a boy called Dragon. I'm almost 40 now, thought it was cool then, still do. I know a male Pheonix who is 3 and one name I loved for a boy was Jasper, but DF vetoed that. My exP called his son that so couldn't have brought myself to do it anyway.
But no, he didn't come up with anything I thought was way out there thankfully. DS has a (long) common name, which we agreed on, with a very uncommon abbreviation of it though.
