I have a question for those of you who have birthed at NECH - did any of you choose to birth not laying on your back? How did the midwives/ob deal with that?
Also, has anyone had any experience with Chris Hughes?
I have had Chris Hughes as my Ob twice and he is the best! My hubby and I love him- he is just fabulous!!
He has midwives who work along side him for pre and postnatal care (they're awesome) and see you thru preg and after for 6 weeks.
I birthed on my back the first time with DS. With DD I was upright the whole labour and had to lie down for them to check progress... I was fully dilated and bub was heading on our quickly so I couldn't get back onto my knees in time before she arrived! So I was on my side. But the midwives and Chris were perfectly happy for me to get back on my knees to deliver- but I just couldn't!
I can't fault the midwives I had with DD- it was an amazing birth! DS's was a rush as he was in distress so a different story- but knowing dr Hughes was there made me calm!
Let us know if you get in to see him!
