Default Urgent- blood test fasting but drank juice!

DS is having his blood work done this morning as he is starting a new medication which requires (what I assume is) full bloods.
The note says (amongst other tests) that he is having his Lipids/LDL (fasting) done and he was meant to fast from midnight. He forgot this morning and had a few sips of juice. Will this matter????

Unfortunately yes it can effect some tests. You'll need to go tomorrow now.

Call and ask. It may not be an issue with some tests.

I'm waiting for them to open at 9. I do have a feeling the sugar levels will have thrown everything off but hoping they will say it's ok as it was just a few sips. I've arranged the morning off school for him so it's more of an inconvenience now as its likely we'll need to do this all over again tomorrow..
