Here ya go! It's tips about cuts as well, but rule #6 explains how a darker root gives your hair 'depth.'

I went an all over bright blond, blunt bob around this time last year and it was really cute but I tired of it pretty quickly. Had some high and lowlights put through next to bring back a more natural shade, kept the blunt bob and really loved it. I could PM you the difference if you're keen. But definitely no harm in trying it out and if you decide you're not keen just have it broken up next time.

I foil my blonde instead of just doing the roots. I should be doing it every 6-8 but I find I can stretch that out sometimes, especially in summer. I actually quite like the look of my blonde once its due to be redone, it goes to a natural looking ombre. Lucky that style is in fashion, gives me more time to put off having my hair done lol! I pay anywhere from $180 to $220/230 depending on where I go. Thats for half a head of foils, toner, treatment, blow dry and straighten. I maintain it at home with blonde shampoos and conditioners.

Depending on who colours my hair I can walk out with ashy silver/grey hair until a couple of washes and it fades to a creamier blonde or my good colourist gets it perfectly blonde and creamy every time. I dont mind a hint of ash but not the grey look. Its annoying when they overtone at the basin! Lol

I have very thick and long, naturally sandy blonde/brown hair, blue eyes and tanned skin.

    Good luck ☺

A little bump-a-roo for the morning crew.
