We also went to Vanuatu on our honeymoon and stayed at the Havannah on the north side of Efate. It will be a devastating cyclone by all reports. I'm wondering if the resort will withstand the cyclone or if it will be wiped out. Scary! Not to mention the very basic telecommunications are likely to be completely wiped out. Thinking of all the NiVan people and hope there are no deaths!

I am taking a break. You guys have driven me to it.

Nahh.. Friday 13 kicked in and our home phone and internet are down until further notice due to some fault they can't diagnose and my mobile is about to run out of credit until next week so I have to ration what I do have.

Back when services are up again.

I just saw a photo of some houses where the locals have placed rocks on the roof to hold the tin roofs down, cause thats all they have .

so torn. A person who used to be my best friend lost his father this week. Even though we aren't in touch I'm devastated to think of how much he must be hurting over this. I want to send my condolences but don't want to overstep the mark. I just wish I could be there for him.

I am stunned that only 2 of my students had ever heard of a blade of grass.
