I am getting to take dh home! Hopefully he'll be out of hospital by tonight and we can drive home tomorrow.

We really can't afford to get a whole new bathroom and it really isn't necessary either. We were hoping to spend $5k but now it's looking unlikely
Can you put in a free standing bath so it doesn't have to be built it? That way you should just need a plumber?

My only concern with this is DH is not handy in the least- it will revolve around him removing the shower screen and actually putting a bath in lol

He just home and told me no way lol. He's also worried about ruining the value of the home lol

Is there a local men's shed in your area or nearby ? Maybe contact them and see if anyone is retired and would do it ?

I am astonished. I made a dinner the whole family loved and ate up. Yay!

I am laughing at my 2 year olds nightly request for weetbix for dessert. I think it's the highlight of her day. She also has 2 dates (it has to be 2, not 1 or 3) after dinner most nights. Little does she know, other kids are eating ice cream for dessert. Muahahahahahaha.

Yes Amyd I joked to DH we might have to do that until we find somebody. Unfortunately we are quickly running out of options.

Eta: thanks nomsie good idea about posting an ad on gumtree.

We have tried a couple of websites that are linked to tradies in the area last week where we put in what we needed done but nobody responded.
Ah Wollongong is a bit far. We're NSW too so was hoping it was a bit closer and I could ask DF to help you out as he is a tradie. I'll ask him when he gets home if he knows any one closer to you though, he knows heaps from all over so it could be possible.

My kids don't realise that dessert is a nightly thing for some people. They get it so rarely and just when I'm in the mood.
