    Hello @Sumaiya

If you click on my name then you will see my profile and an option to send me a private message.

I did not have a laparoscopy as I didn't need one. The standard tests are a blood test, AMH blood test which costs $80, a HyCosy ( to check your fallopian tubes ) which is about $250 ( you get some back from Medicare though ) and a sperm test for the man ( no cost as this is bulk billed )..

Sorry to hear of your miscarriages.

Your specialist will advise what tests and procedures they will recommend up front and that will be based on your full history to date. Good luck, a good idea is to join one of the monthly cycling threads on BUBHUB for some support from others cycling at the same time as you.

    Default Rpa

Hi there. Sorry to jump in to this post so many months late. I am hoping one of the ladies on here who had a successful cycle with RPA might be able to answer some questions. I have my initial appointment next week. I've been ttc for 2 1/2 years. My husband & I have had all the tests over the years but not recently, so I assume they will want some

Hi there. Sorry to jump in to this post so many months late. I am hoping one of the ladies on here who had a successful cycle with RPA might be able to answer some questions. I have my initial appointment next week. I've been ttc for 2 1/2 years. My husband & I have had all the tests over the years but not recently, so I assume they will want them done again? What's the wait between this and the next appointment, to discuss results? Will we commit to a cycle date at our first appointment? Also, do we set a date based on their availability or my cycle dates? Thanks so much in advance!

We had our First appt back in early March and are only about to start our treatment this weekend.
We had an appt with Dr Shannon Zawada ( Fellow) and she seemed quite nice. The process is just so much longer going through the public system but worth it if your worried about money. Hopefully now that the ball is starting to roll it'll feel like it's moving quicker.

We had our nurses appt on the 25th June. Af started 9 days later and I start Provera tomorrow. They sent out to me 2 scripts for me to get, Provera & Lucrin, both of which I could get at my local chemist. So no need to go into the hospital to collect from their pharmacy. I do need to go back to the nurses to collect my puregon / pregnyl. I have a blood test 3 days before and that's when you also pay for your cycle. Quick note, I was suppose to use Syneral nose spray but got told there was none in the country :/ that's why I'll be doing the Lucrin injections instead, at a out of pocket cost of $300.
