Thanks for the reassurance ladies. @3bubbys yes she has an extremely bad throat and ear infection but has been fine until lunchtime today then just crashed and was in so much pain. Is on antibiotics and another medication to clear the tube between her ear and throat.

We have had the aircon on all day plus the fan so its lovely and cool inside.

Will keep an eye on her. Thabks again for the reassurance!

Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon and she's feeling much better.

She perked up a lot when panadol kicked in, and fever dropped right down to 38.5. She is starting to go downhill again but will give some nurofen. She has requested chicken noodles for dinner so chicken noodles it is! She is on the ab's and the pharmacist said the other one is a steriod medication (predmix or something?) to help with all the inflamtion, she only takes that 1x a day for 3 days though.

Now that her temp is under control I have stopped worrying so much.

Thanks again for the info and reassurance ladies.

That's good that the panadol is working. Sometimes I find it works better and other times the nurofen does. When DS has tonsilitis he usually has high temps for about 3 days after starting ab, once it breaks he picks up pretty quickly. It's good she is wanting to eat, even though she may not have much don't worry, just keep the fluids up.
