    I wish.

Midwife appointment today was a bust. Attempted a stretch and sweep - cervix is still high and closed so no dice.

Midwife was mean enough to say it'll be at least another week. So I'm just going quietly insane with all the anxiety of worrying the baby will end up in distress and being super uncomfortable.

My hips and back ache, my left arm is numb most of the day from the carpal tunnel and I can't sleep.

Sorry for the whinge, I know I'm really lucky to be at this point but until I can see him out, safely in my arms the anxiety that something will go wrong is just so intense.

@ScubaGal, your update sounds pretty much exactly like mine! The anxiety is killing me too-why couldn't the bubs be early!? I feel like he'd be so much safer on the outside now. Do you have a plan from here? I go back on the 26th for induction. I'm going to do a private scan next Wed to make sure everything's looking ok-maybe an idea for you too. Also, if you're worried, go into the labour ward and say bub's movement has been quieter than normal and they'll do a non-stress test. What's a wee white lie to stop us going bananas!! Good luck! Sending lots of thinning, dilating vibes your way!!

Ps it's been the carpel tunnel and rib pain keeping me awake for weeks but now I've started snoring like a wounded animal (I mean normal snoring sounds like classical music compared to my sounds!) and it's so loud it's waking me up....when I manage to actually get to sleep! Oh the fun!

Oh the snoring is awful. The breathe easy nasal strips from the chemist help with that.

I wish I could sleep. You never know though - you could go before me at this rate.

Hey all, so I'm going to try to be offline for a bit. I'll log in and update should this baby decide to arrive but I reckon he's at least a week away and I just need to try to relax properly.

Good luck to the others who are due - looking fwd to lots of babies coming up!!

Good luck @ScubaGal, hopefully the next time you log on it will be with a birth announcement. Rest easy.
