    I'm going well. The hospital is 4 hours from home, so I am staying at Ronald McDonald House which is across the road from the hospital.

    My water broke early at 24 weeks 2 days. I then unfortunately got a raging infection 4 days later so had to have an emergency c-section. Turned out I actually had an e-coli infection and we were very lucky that Jai even survived the birth, but also, by some minor miracle, he did not end up getting the infection himself.

    They can normally move from NICU to Special Care once they are stable & off breathing support - usually around 34 weeks. Jai's lungs are not great, so he might take a bit longer. Usually they can come home completely from hospital around their due date, but once again, 24 weekers sometimes need to stay longer. I've just got to ride it out really.

    My husband had to go back to work, so he only comes to stay with me on weekends and my mum is able to come stay with me on Wednesday & Thursday nights. That way my daughter (5 year old) can come stay with me Wednesday to Sunday each week too!

    It's wonderful that the NICU can support such a positive outcome for such an early birth How many weeks is he now?

    I see from your signature that your DD was early too - do the Doctors think there is a link between the two? Or just crazy coincidence?

    Oh having a dd and husband so far away must be really hard on you. I can imagine it'd be hard for your DH to leave on a Sunday night too. Thank goodness for mums hey! She sounds like a blessing. It is nice to know you are not there alone. I hope Jai continues to get stronger every day and the next 10 weeks in NICU/SCN are soon a distant memory!

    He is 29 weeks 5 days now.

    Yes, my waters broke early with my daughter too. There was no reason they could find when it happened with her, although in the months after I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I had surgery to remove my cervix and a permanent stitch was placed. Pregnancies after this procedure are automatically classed as high risk and I had much more regular scans & checks, although it still happened again!! Let's just say I am never going to risk it again - my 2 miracles are more than I ever could have hoped for.

    @KitiK my twins were born on the 27/3 and thanks for doing the roll call too.

    I'm doing well, have recovered from the c section pretty much and settled in at home and have some sort of schedule going. Really struggling with bf though it's so hard to feed two and keep up with their demands so am pretty much just expressing during the day and bf at night with formula top ups. During the day I rotate ebm and formula bottles. My milk supply is quite low though. I saw a lactation consultant and told me that to meet the demands of my babies I need to produce 900ml min of breastmilk a day or 150ml per express. I'm lucky to be getting 120ml at time.

    It's great to see all of these babies arriving. Good luck to those who are expecting soon xx

    I do remember you telling us that now! My mummy brain is kicking in with #3... I guess you would have been expecting a bumpy ride, maybe not expecting #2 so early and under such circumstances! A pidgeon pair is perfect, congrats again and I really do hope he is well, out of NICU and home soon.
    @Nezz79, I updated your date

    congrats @jonesgirl1980 sounds you have a little fighter there. Good luck with it all.
    @KitiK thaks for doing the roll call - time to get another little girl in the mix with all these gorgeous boys everyone is popping out Not long for me now and I am feeling great - they are still monitoring the fluid issues I was having but baby is happy and comfortable for now so will keep taking it one day at a time. Getting U/S every week isn't so bad because I get to see bub although bub is a bit shy and is always covering up.
