I think once they start utilising the baby stuff, they'll eat their words @HavingitAll ;-) They'll eventually realise that the 'excessive' things were purchased to make life a litte easier! My hubby flies back to work tomorrow, for the week, then I'm being admitted at 38wks for an induction. Geez I hope I don't go before then... insomnia has well & truly set in for me & I think a lot of it is to do with thinking about birth / new addition / 1st time parenting etc

@sarahf - good luck with the b00bies healing - you are doing a great job. It took me at least a good 6 weeks my first time for things to settle - i struggled through tears (felt like I was in the trenches!) And nearly gave up a few times. I wish I had have had BH back then! I was lucky my DH was so supportive. This time I am actually looking forward to bf!

Have to say, I am quite dissapointed with my Mico Cosy AP baby carrier... Totally nowhere near as easy to use as my last capsule and seems dangerous in comparison! Having to clip it into the tether strap each time creates slack. And I hate the sun cover - it is just annoying and doesnt easily clip off/out. Oh well at least I will only have to put up with it for 6 months.... I am hoping I have more luck liking the BJCS pram... we will see. Seriously it surely can't be that hard to come up with a carrier/pram system can it? Grrr

Yeah they're all doubles. iCandy wasn't the best of doubles though hence she upgraded

I haven't posted for a while but congratulations to all the new bubs!! I'm 30 weeks now, still feeling pretty good....we moved house so that's been full on and my DD took a little time to adjust poor kid!

While I'm looking forward to meeting my little man I know how harrowing those first few weeks/months can be (or were for me last time) so I'm happy for him to stay put until the 40 weeks 😜 good news is it gets easier!

1st steriod shot tonight...! Eek getting close, so excited, can't wait for this baby to be on the outside!!

Spoke to the anaesthatist too, am very happy with the approach and even happier this time I will get a script for pain relief when I leave the hospital - unlike the panadol I got the last 2x!

Was also remembering how much I swelled up after the c section birth (with fluid etc - I had perfect ankles all my pregnancies, but afterwards eneded up with cankles for a week or more!) And sweaty, did I mention how sweaty I was? Lol - All this to look forward to!

Sorry to hear you are doing it tough. Feeding with cracked nipples would be a nightmare but people say that bf gets easier after around 6 weeks so fingers crossed that is the case for you.

we've been lucky, Isla is a pretty contented baby and sleeps and feeds well. Although had her 2 week appointment today and she's not yet back to her birth weight so would like her to be gaining a bit more weight. She does have her unsettled moments and those are tough. Sometimes you just wish they could tell you what they want. Hugs.
