    Congrats sarah he's just beautiful.

and welcome amiracle, I'm sure everything will work out for you

    Congrats @Happyma !! Great news.

Yeah I can imagine it's hard not being with him, like having a limb removed temporarily. I really identify with that new mummy gorilla at Melb zoo who has been in the news. She isn't letting anyone near her bubba!

Whenever I think of my little man actually arriving then I think of all the people who will want a hold and a cuddle my instinct just says nope! No cuddles for anyone!!

Agree with both of you @ScubaGal and @BabyOB. There really is no 'need' for anyone to hold bub, esp in the short term. I used to say things like 'oh, sorry she is due for a feed/nappy change/sleep' just to get out of hurting peoples feelings if I didnt want to say NO! Although had to be blunt on some occassions and just say'look I am sorry, but I am just not comfortable yet, maybe next time'. I also had to physically stop random people in the shops from touching my babies (even wanting to put their fingers in their mouths - wtf?! And letting their kids touch the baby - just NO!)

Goodluck, everyone loves a newborn x

Ps: when I did say yes, I made sure the person was sitting down, last thing you want is a dropped baby.... :/

@ladybug14 - it is the combined vaccine (boostrix) that has WC, diptheria and tetnus combined. Just had my vax, was all fine, if you get them to warm it up a bit first (just in their hands) it doesnt hurt as much
