Hi Ladies, I think I will sub in here as I will be 40 later this year. I know a few of you from other threads.
@Bongley great news on your fertilisation results and good luck with the transfer today @leyshoja. Hopefully the 2 of you will kick us off with some great news in 2 weeks.
@winsor sorry your transfer has been cancelled for this month.

Quick intro about me. I did my first IVF cycle about 15 months ago. I had one fresh and 3 frozen transfers for 2 bfn's, a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and blighted ovum discovered at 7 week scan. I did another stim cycle last month and we did PGD testing. I had 9 eggs collected, 8 were mature enough to be icsi'd and 6 fertilised. On day 5 they said four looked like they would be able to get enough cells for testing, one was "great looking" but probably wouldn't be able to get enough cells but could be frozen and the 6th one was still at a morula stage. We decided to try our luck and transfer the "great looking" hatching blastocyst and I had a chemical pregnancy (something new to try). I have the results from PGD testing. Two were abnormal and 2 were normal so I will be doing a transfer probably late April/early May as I needed a break this cycle.

My freebie FRER hasn't turned up in the mail yet either after that faulty soul crushing one that I complained about, so I'm going to have to stock up. I'm not getting cheapies this time. They are rubbish. Also I'm not going to keep testing this time to see it get darker. I know now from experience that if my bbs are sore, I'm pregnant and as soon as they are not anymore, I'm not. I don't need to see the HCG rise. Famous last words...

Welcome @Emerald26. Sounds like you've been there and done that too. Gets tiresome doesn't it. At least you have two known normal embies waiting patiently for you. Can't wait to hear how they go !

@Bongley, have you considered doing PGD testing on any spare embies before you freeze them ?

Haha yep I'm in the backward part of the country. I'll be leaving home in around 10 minutes and transferring in about 90 minutes.

Bongley that's a great fert rate! You must be happy.

Go Leyshoja!!!!! get those embies on board. Is your partner going with you?

So sorry Winsor. As of today I suspect something similar is happening to me. My estrogen today has not risen since yesterday, still in the 400's and I'm quite upset. I used to have nice text book hormone levels and I feel that ivf has stuffed that up. Either that or I'm really gettting old. The nurse said it's not abnormal to stall for a few days but for some reason I don't believe her. They always say everything is 'normal' I know they mean it's in the normal range but it's not my normal if that makes sense. I usually ovulate cd16 and it's already cd14 and no surge

Welcome Emerald, 2 normals from 1 cycle is absolutely great. I'm a bit of a pgd veteran, see siggy.
