that is a lot of $. I hope the you & the clinic/your FS can come to an agreement. sorry to hear of your results leyshoja

af started finally - was a few days late (which means I prob miscalculated ovulation too, not sure). I'd tested over the weekend but bfn to the natural cycle. the month break was good for my head though as I was really feeling some depression-like symptoms after/during the previous cycle. feeling much better now. this is the frozen cycle of my only 5day frostie. it had taken a little extra time to catch up to the one that was transferred on my first cycle, but I think this is OK. I have a good feeling about it and march, so hoping this is the one we've waited for.

    good luck everyone

Good luck @winsor. We are due for a success story.
FR reckon that test was not faulty as a BFP is a complete line. If I give them the batch number they will send a replacement. The box is long gone so guess I get nothing other than trauma lol

Wishing @winsor good luck with your frosty!
@BlondeinBrisvegas can I ask you what you did differently for your BFP cycle? Just noticed that you changed clinics and then were successful so am interested to know what sorts of changes you made. Lifestyle too if there were any.

Do you ladies drink alcohol in between cycles? I had been abstaining but have been having a few here and there lately. Im wondering if I should stop completely..

thanks guys. fingers crossed. it's up to the embryo now. I hope there's no problems defrosting & it progresses

I don't drink alcohol between/during cycles. though I'm sure a couple wouldn't hurt as many women drink before they know they're pregnant. I'm just not a big drinker anyway so it's no difference to me to stop.

I have had a couple of sneaky weak coffees the day or two when af arrives. but I stop those too after a couple of days. not sure if it matters - I think 1 a day is prob ok anyway, but I've read caffeine can cause miscarriages (prob if you drink a lot?), so I cut it out to be sure as I don't want to risk it. I feel calmer also (esp at work) when not drinking coffee - can get to worked up/stressed otherwise

Yes I drink alcohol between FETs but I know you are not supposed to in the 20 to 90 days before an EPU.

@leyshoja Oh, well said Luv r.e your ranting and raving!! Yes, I fully agree it should be YOUR call what you want to do. The option should be there for you to do with it what you will And a big, fat, 1 finger Bird to FR!! F.U. FR!! Anything to get out of replacing the stick/admitting fault.

@tuxcat Yes Luv, I did change FS. I still stayed with the same Clinic, just changed specialists to the infamous Warren De Ambrosis It just so happened he is a Specialist within my FC or else I would've gone to whoever he was affiliated with. My first 3 Cycles were long, down regulated using the vile Synarel and Puregon for Cycle 1 and Gonal F for 2 and 3, triggering with Ovidrel for all of them.

I was that pi$$ed off after Cycle 3's abysmal results plus the fact my previous FS wouldn't try anything new that I suggested (such as HGH, DHEA etc) I decided to go elsewhere and all my research as to who was the best FS for our particular issues pointed to WDA. Anyhoo, as you can see, he had me on the AACEP protocol plus the addition of what seems like a 100 different natural supplements for DP and I that we both took non-stop from about 6/7wks before Cycle 4 began all the way through until Cycle 5. I also had an Endo scratch and Lipoidal flush for Cycle 4 and just the Endo scratch for Cycle 5. I tried HGH in Cycle 4 but dropped it for Cycle 5 feeling it didn't make and discernable difference for us in that Cycle. WDA also treats empirically for immune issues too so has you on medications for that also.

As to other things, in the lead up to Cycle 5 and all through it, I was having regular massage done and also doing guided meditation made especially for IVF'ers. Dropped the massage in the 2WTorture but kept up the meditation. I also picked a "theme song" that I played every day to help ground me and keep me focused not that I think that made any difference to getting my BFP, it just helped keep me sane through it all

If you or anyone else wants to know what natural sup's I took, I'd be happy to post it for everyone or else I could pm it to you instead. Good Luck Luv!! P.s. Oh, the alcohol thing?? Not when I was Cycling, but had the odd one here and there in between. It's the same with caffeine. I just kept to the Preggo guidelines of 200mg's max a day while I was Cycling

Hi Tuxcat, re getting a cycle in ASAP it really depends what type of cycle they are putting you on and I guess you won't know that til you've seen the FS. Most of my cycles have been pill start and for example, I started a cycle with the pill in December for a long down reg and won't be transferring til probably April! So that's more than a third of a year gone in one cycle, but I did PGD which creates delays and they make me time my cycles with the availability of the PGD scientists. In contrast, my Sydney based friend with the same company (Genea) started all her cycles on day 3 of her natural cycle. She did antagonist cycles and each cycle was done within one month! Just depends how they're gonna do things for you, whether you're doing pgd etc. Agree with Leyshoja, give them a ring.
Re alcohol, I drink between cycles hell yeah. My FS says there's no evidence against it for conception but of course there is evidence against it for pregnancy! Of course it's like anything, in excess it can't be good.

Winsor glad you're feeling positive. There are quite a few of us doing FET's soon. Good luck!

AFM, I'm having one of those long, probably anovulatory cycles which are supposedly common post stim. Typically AF is staying away the only time I want her to turn up.

Leyshoja, I'm glad they're letting you have your blood test earlier so you can get it over and done with. And you go girl, tell them how it is going to be! Think I'm about to be adopting the same attitude.

@BlondeinBrisvegas, sounds a bit like he throws the whole kitchen at a cycle!! I have no idea what a lipoidal flush is but i might google it. I have once done a down reg cycle and it only produced 1 egg so Im hoping they won't do that to me again, in saying that tho, if the whole cycle is different then i would give it a go but based on my cycles to date, the antag is the better option, although Ive only ever done straight puregon / ganirelix so all those other types of cycles people do (like yours) the Drs at RPA have never mentioned.
The last Dr we saw was our specialist before we went to RPA and started IVF so I know she takes a very conservative approach and I know she doesn't believe in NK cells and the protocols that go with it. This is why I feel that I need to seek out someone who is willing to throw half the house at the cycle!!
Ive worked out that if it is short cycles then I will have time to do one in April if this month doesn't work. I will just ask when we are there and work it out then. No point in getting all stressed before we even see her. Oh and I think I have seen the Wazza list of supps on BH, Im taking some of them, making sure i always take CoQ10/pregnancy multi and vitamin D.

@Skyler I don't know how you stay sane with that long in between a transfer, you must be the most patient person ever!! Re drinking, I am a wine drinker and so I have found it hard to not drink, but the last year Ive stopped for lots of periods whilst cycling and leading up to them, it hasn't helped me so far!!!

@leyshoja it sucks these clinics are so hard on the transfer of more than one emby thing, Ive found it frustrating too, especially given the chances over 40 that both are going to work, i wouldn't put my money on that happening for me..like ever!! I suppose with DE its different, but I get where you are coming from, how many friggin goes will it actually take <how funny is that emoji!

My donor has donated 8 eggs all up (3 to someone else) and so far 5 of them have not been successful. I want 2 TRANSFERRED !! I think I've earnt it. If I end up with more than 1 great looking blast then I may change my mind and opt for 1 but I want that to be MY call, not theirs. I'm not giving them another $6000 for 3 more FET's.
I'm getting really bitter about the money and the lack of control over something that I AM PAYING FOR ! Rant over.

@leyshoja I just wanted to high five you. Of course it should be your choice. Can you switch clinics for the transfer to get 2 put in or is it all locked into the one clinic?

When I tell them I want two, if they say no, I'll be asking what's involved in getting them transferred to another clinic. I think going elsewhere will be more trouble than it's worth but it might be enough to get me over the line.
