Default Sex After Stitches (Yes, this certainly does contain TMI)

Okay girls I'm going to be very frank here and ask a question that needs to be asked.

    IS IT NORMAL.

I had a 2nd degree tear, was stitched up and recovered fantastically.

When Chris and I have sex in a certain position (let's just say it's not missionary) it hurts a bit.. like where the pressure is on the base/outside bit.

I'm wondering if that's normal, like pushing on scar tissue, or if I'm some weird freak. Husband is getting a little annoyed as it's one of his favourite positions (although one that I'm not too keen on!)

Goodness me, this is a nice piece of TMI eh?

    Thanks lovelies.

lol seekrit, it can be totally normal for that area to be a little sore while pressure is being applied and the rubbing may make it worse lol, some people just take a little longer to fully recover,

Perfectly normal for it to hurt. Won't heal. Not ever.

My scar after DD1 felt like that for nearly a year! But I did have about 27 stitches

It takes time. And as for ur hubby, tell him you'll cut his you know what down the side, then stitch it back up again, and see how he feels ahving sex in all sorts of positions....lol... I tell my DH this when he starts to complain, he soon shuts up

Err not sure if you want my view on it.
I hurt no matter what but ummm missionary is the less painful, being in charge is just plain weird ( wont go into depth with those details ) & being on all fours is no longer allowed in this house
But then again having part of your vag hanging out & having major scarring does that im guessing.
Now if that doesnt blow your idea of TMI out of the water i dont know what will

Just take it slow it will get better im sure !

    Aah Allyoo guesses the position!

I don't know how many stitches I got. When I asked the doctor said "Err.. one big long one."

    LOL Seekrite

Yep very normal. I had the same issue for almost a year after.

I think it was a combination of stitches, breastfeeding and lack of lubrication oh and lack of sleep doesn't help either. Oh and scar tissue.

Once we got past all that I was alot more excited about the whole prospect of sex and found that everything had returned to normal including great sex . Thank god for that.

I'm afraid I am also in the "it will never get better" camp. Almost 3 years and no improvement for me.

But I scar for a paper cut
