    Couldn't you use any cake as the base of it? Was there a particular recipe or do you want to work out how to put it together? I've only got the copy when they republished the book in the last 5 years but I can check it in a little bit if you need.

    I do just a sponge with a hole cut out in it. Than add blue jelly that is already made up. Than either kit kat or cadbury fingers for the fence.

    So true - my avatar is one that my grandma made me when I was 2

    ETA: about 20 seconds after that photo was taken, I managed to put my elbow on the edge of the tray and tipped the cake onto the ground. Devastating for all involved!
