Faith: So sorry to hear your news but great that you're already focussing on your FET in June. I have every faith (sorry!) that one of those frosties is your future baby. Look after yourself.

Devaki: Great news on your scan.

    Hi to everyone else.

AFM: 25 weeks today (which I can't quite believe!) Feeling good, if a bit tired in the evenings. I used the daily Lucrin injections as my GP was unable to prescribe Synarel. Didn't find it a problem at all (although did have to keep it cold on the trip to CT). Cost around $300 from Chemist Warehouse ( who ordered it in from Sydney).

Faith the FETs are pretty straight forward, you just need to nominate when you want to go and estimate your period date - you might want to wait one cycle? My cycle was a bit screwy after a miscarriage. I did after my miscarriage. Then you can opt to be in cpt for 4 days if you want to have your lining scan in Aus or 8 days if you want to have your lining scan in cpt. Its just synarel (or whatever you're using) & progynova. Costs are approx $750 aud for the cycle.

    Em x

    KLM Happy Birthday!

Faith so sorry to hear it didn't work for you this time but how great you have some frosties and can go back for FET!

Luca just 2 weeks, wow the cont down it on, so exciting

Patsy congrats on 25 weeks that means your baby is now viable, so exciting

AFM am at 27.5 weeks today yay! saw my sister yesterday who haven't seen in 4 months and she said where the bump? You just look fat, gotta love a sister's honesty. Pretty amazing that at 6 months I still don't look pregnant, I guess being a tall and bigger girl makes a difference...

Faith, so sorry to hear your news, but I'm glad you're having another go and a few months off will only be good for you both physically and mentally.

Devaki, great news on your scan.

Glad to hear all the pregnant ladies are doing well.

I went for the depot injection with I ordered from UK pharmacy. It was so much more convenient, 1 jab and you don't have to worry about it again. Plus I've used synarel in the past and twice it didn't suppress my system, I actually ovulated so didn't want to take the chance. The needle looks big and complicated but i followed the instructions and it was easy. I injected myself in the tummy and it didn't hurt.

AFM. just waiting for harmony test to come back as i didnt get the best result from the nuchal scan for twin b. The thickness measurement was a bit high. I'm not stressing too much because when I look at how they get the indication for high or low risk for downs, it looks very inaccurate because my bloods throw the formula out the window because I'm having twins. They seem to base all tests on singleton pregnancies.

    Who's up next?

hi all, just a quick one.

I know capetown pretty well but this will be my first visit not for work.

I am weighing up appartemnt vs hotel. Any thoughts from anyone on which they went for and why. For DH and I, I want this to be a holiday of some sort and love hotel breakfasts. That said, a lot to be said for convenience of appt - washing machine etc.

If we go for appartment route, any good reccos for breakfast spots?

Hopeful - you could do what we did and do both! We arrived in Cape Town and stayed at The Vineyard for a few days (they do THE best breakfast & such a beautiful hotel) then hired a car & went on safari for 4 days. We then came back to Cape Town for egg retrieval & transfer & stayed at an apartment at The Waterfront for the rest of the time (about 10 days). We were right in the midst of it all then & still had the car so we could get to CFC & appts easily. I loved both the Vineyard & the apartment & would do it they way again if we went back. You do want to make it a nice holiday too.
