What's a depot injection? I used ovidrel to build up my endometrium before, for a FET. Much better than crinone. And used the same thing as trigger shot for EPU in a previous fresh cycle which was quite bizarre!

Kay also remember the timing will also have to work for your chosen donor - so finding your donor and nominating your dates will be your biggest hurdle. Also be aware sometimes you don't get your treatment plan until 3 weeks prior to leaving... I started planning my last March cycle in Nov and still didn't have my plan until 3 weeks before.

Kay, Emski and I had the same experience. I wasn't able to book my flights until 3 weeks before I left as I was waiting on my donor's test results (she did a cycle in January and I left in March). I would confirm the donor dates and work from there.

So, I keep hoping things will even out and tonight I had a little spotting. I have no pain or cramping. I read through the February thread as I remembered wazza's brandy and valium advice. Blinky (and the other February women who had spotting) it sounds like it all worked out. I am thinking of calling my fertility specialist tomorrow if it continues. Also, would you recommend bed rest or going in to work. At work, I am busy but it is not too stressful, and I work in an office environment. At home, I would do my best to stay off the internet. Also, I normally walk a lot. Today, I had four 10 minute walks and one 20 minute walk. None at a strenuous pace. Is it better to minimize activity at 5 weeks?

Canuck go on bed rest, book an OB too you should be taking it very easy until the bleeding settles. I was on 2 weeks bed rest too. Also you've been very sick so should rest anyway!
As my OB said to me - you've gone through so much to get pregnant so why take risks now? Feet up, lots of movies and cups if herbal tea and relax!

I would do bedrest - I ended up on almost 5 weeks! It's boring and frustrating at times but worth it to reach the goal.
I was also told to do no heavy lifting (nothing over 2kg) and limit walking and strictly no exercise until 12 scan - I had hoped to do some light swimming but it was vetoed too.

As Emski suggested I would also try to book in to see an OB...

Lucrin comes in two forms - you can either have a depot injection which is one you do as a 'once only injection' that last for the whole time or as a daily injection. I believe the depot injection is more expensive but the daily injection has the hassle of needing to be kept refrigerated (which includes while you are travelling to SA as you will need to keep taking it until just before tx)

The synarel is a nasal spray that can be kept ambient but it does taste 'nasty' and some people do get headaches from it.

Either of these is used to suppress your natural ovulation cycle and you then use progynova (oestrogen) to build your lining.

Synarel can make you really cranky and possessed by a demon. I used it on one of my cycles.....never again. Lucrin was easier....but when I looked up Depot injection on chemist warehouse it was $1000.

I spoke to different pharmacies for prices (different stockists) before I ordered anything.

You'd be pretty amazed that you can save a lot of money asking in advance.

Quite often the drugs need to be ordered as they are not readily stocked.

You can buy lucrin/lupron depot injection on fertility2u for about $250 although you may have to pay for them to redo the script to a uk one from SA, hey accept EU scripts without having to change them

In my experience, and maybe I'm the only one that thinks this, but I guess I was lucky, Synarel was no different to me than using a nasal spray for a stuffed up nose. I would only taste it for a few seconds and sometimes not at all. It didn't change my mood, or give me headaches. (Oh maybe one of two I guess but not constant). But luckily again for me none of the fertility drugs have really changed my moods. I am pretty laid back in general though so that might help. Plus the convenience of just chucking it in my handbag was great.
