I remember a while back someone used both donor and DH sperm and then had to make the choice between which ones to put back.

Does anyone know if its possible to put one back of donor sperm and one of your own sperm - a sort of blast roulette?

CFC is saying that as DH is showing no normal sperm, I can have a back up donor. DH's sperm did work in last five ICSIs - but all BFNs which I put down to my eggs.

    anyway, any thoughts always useful

PSS - I agree with Blinky re Wazza and Charlotte. I met Charlotte once during my last FET (which I mc'd) and she was lovely and yes she consults every bit with Wazza. And as Blinky said, he is 'the one'! I've recommended many of my struggling girlfriends to him and apart from the latest one (who just started) they are all preggers! My best friend 8 weeks ahead of me I've met other mums in his waiting room who fly in for him, one from Perth for the second Wazza baby.
I've got nothing but praises for this man!

Afm - can't wait for my scan tmr, hope both beans are still doing well!

The dude abides! HCG 737, it's doubling right on schedule. Progesterone is low at 16, though still within normal range. Like Emski, I've started on Provera.

What I have learned in the past 24 hours:
    1) Do not use dollar store pregnancy tests
    2) Do not POAS, just say no
    3) Bubhubbers are great: Thank you so much for your support and advice. Going to my FS was such great advice. I follow everything to the letter and when I showed up almost in tears (my FS said I held it together well) they did the blood test. My 48 hour blood test was slow to rise, which anyone on this forum knows is not a good sign. I found out 'the dude' is right on schedule now and that my progesterone is on the low side. This gives me some extra time to boost it. By sunrise this morning, I had convinced myself that everything happens for a reason. I believe now that the scare, though terrifying, maybe bought me some time to get my progesterone up.

Sidebar: I'm not doing the progesterone shots. I live alone and have no one to inject me. My earlier miscarriage had high progesterone levels. And don't tell CFC, but my doctor here thinks they are '********.' Bar bar ic is apparently not allowed.

Sidebar 2: Blinky, go to the GP. I feel like a new person after one day on antibiotics. Dr Google and my GP both agree that certain antibiotics are fine when you are pregnant. I can not tell you what a difference feeling 'okay' has made to my mental health.
Devaki, good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Canuck - Big fat . So good to hear all is going OK. Don't worry about CFC and the Gestone ... it is just one way fo getting the prgesterone into you. It just means you will be doing 1001 pesseries or Crinone sticks. And great news about the antibiotics - at least you know they are working.

Sunnygirl, I look at this as a process. I started out thinking 'I can get pregnant no problem.' After three years of disappointing results with my own eggs, my doctor suggested donor eggs, and only at that point was I ready to consider not using my own eggs. I told myself, one more cycle on my own, then DE. The day after my BFN, I e-mailed CFC. What helped was the closure cycle with my own eggs.

That said, I wish I would have moved to DE sooner. This will be a child of your heart, in the end that is all that matters.

This whole thing is a process, and as my friend who has been through a few cycles says: 'trust the process.' You will know when you are ready. Grieve the loss of your biological child as long as you feel necessary, then move when you are ready.

In the meantime, browse the DE profiles (it's like dating with no chance of rejection), and the right one will transpire when you are ready.

Great news Canuck1. What a relief.

Also, I did the gestone injections myself as DH was away for work. It's a bit awkward but do-able, if you change your mind. I found once you'd done one on each side it was easier as you could see where to put them next time.
