Hopeful, where are you located and we might be able to recommend someone - my GP could actually prescribe all those meds but the synarel was only prescribed as it can be used for things other than fertility. Otherwise you can try fertility2u online or asset pharmacy from the uk...or find a sympathetic fertility specialist in your area.

Many thanks for replying - am in Sydney.

Have you experience of the online pharmacy you mention?

I think I burnt my bridges with our fertility specialist and am up against it timewise. Needs to start taking pill next week

    Hi ladies

I have been lurking for a few months and following the wonderful February results ! Congratulations everyone.

AFM, I am mid 40's, single and did a DE cycle at CFC 2014 which had a lovely BFP but sadly miscarriage at 8.5 weeks. Subsequent FET was a BFN and I am now just waiting for the plan from CFC for a May/June cycle back at CFC.

Hopeful - re meds, I ended up taking a very pragmatic approach and found a bulk billing Medical Centre near work who knew nothing else about me and I just walked into there with the list of meds on CFC's letterhead and said my Overseas FS said I needed those meds. I got them all without any real hassles (and much cheaper than the overseas pharmacies as far as I could see) likewise any bloods or scans CFC wanted I did the same thing. Fortunately my Aus FS wasn't anti the overseas treatement so I kept 'in' with her and I used to rock up to my old IVF Clinic in Sydney for the post transfer bloods etc which was all bulk billed as I kept up the FS referral. Overall, I found that if you put on a bit of bravado mixed with lots of "would it be Ok to......", it worked quite stresslessly !

Re Clinics and Agencies - I agree with the comments re go for the Egg Donor not the Agency. The Agency is such a small part of the process and in fact I have found nothing but helpfullness and fast turnaround from them. Their business is about getting as many of their donors chosen so they get paid, so they have an incentive to be proactive and helpful. I did have some contact with Global Egg Donors based in the USA but never had any real intention of using them unless I had to as I had heard some negative feedback but the limited interaction i had with them was fine though a little pushy - that of course could simply be the difference between Aussies and Yanks.

I am using Cape Fertility Clinic and couldn't be more happy with them. In comparison to Australian clincis I have found CFC so much friendler and more accomodating. In Aus, I felt like part of a production line but at CFC it feels like a real doctor/patient relationship.

    Good luck with your cycle.

Brand new to the site but wowed by the wealth of info.

After 6 failed IVFs in Aus - now embarking on ED with CFC. Have booked in for June and just got protocol sent to me.

Can I ask how others got their meds. Have to take pill, Synarel nasal spray and then progynova.

My GP to date has been less than impressed that I am going overseas for treatment and just wondered how others got their meds.

    Thanks

Hopeful - I might be able to help with the Synarel. It's a Class 1 drug so most GPs won't/can't prescribe it.

My FS prescribed it to me (with repeats) - I actually have an unopened/unused bottle from my last cycle. Being that we are now 10 weeks today - I won't be needing it anytime soon.
The pill and progynova should be fine from GP.
PM me if I can help.

Hi all and welcome to some new ladies here
It's such comforting place to be and share our journeys with each other!

Mar ladies seem to be all now on 2ww so wishing you all the best! Btw, I bled before my Preggie test too so that may not be of any concern, bleeding seems to be soo common here at early stages.

AFM - had my OB app this am and a scan! Well, we are back on track with twins Both heartbeats 180 and good sizes. One sack still smaller but looking much better than it used to. OB said that it all looks good and prepare for 2! As for the bleed area, still there but better so meds continue but I can now move a lil more and can even have some light visits to friends place etc. Oh thank god! Problem now is that I have no energy...the midgets are squeezing the last bit out of me

Take care you all and much love!
