PPS i'm with KLM and Hoping4best, i'd take tonight's dose regardless and then see if you can get an answer tomorrow from your FS on whether unrefrigerated would have an impact

Thanks so much for the responses!

Our house is currently 29 degrees so quite easily could have got hotter in the heat of the day, so decided to get another bottle. Discovered it is kept in a warehouse in perth, and the lovely pharmacist is putting in an urgent order tonight so I'll have a fresh bottle by midday tomorrow and she'll deal with me getting the script later .... What a gem!
Pit may be overkill but don't want that doubt and regret if god forbid it doesn't work this time around. I figure one injection even if it has degraded can't be too harmful in the scheme of things.

hope everyone else is going well! I'll catch up on everyone's news on here tomorrow

Glad to hear you got it sorted PSS - that would be really stressful.

    Hi Crabby
I have wondered about using Footprints as well. I said I would contact them when I had my dates. What did you arrange through Footprints. When I got the email I thought wow this seems to good to be true. This would make things easier for me as I've never been overseas before.

Default Egg Donation in South Africa #8

    Hi Lisa

EDSA put me in touch - she has booked the middle week at newlands Radisson and my issue was about booking a room to include two adults and a 4 year old - as most online places made me have to book an extra room for a 4 year old - contacted city lodge directly and they said yes have to book a separate room and they couldn't guarantee would be adjoining - crazy! Faith called them all to discuss (we are going peak season) and they offered $115/night so have gone with it. What she asks is payment in advance ....she is also saying can provide free SIM cards, arrange airport transfers, discount for ΓΌber and rental cars etc think is ok as recommended by edsa but just seeing if anyone dealt with her before.

Usually hubbie and I like to be very independent ....but think sounds a really good idea if solo or not travelled much before - will let you know!

Not sure if you all realise but the lab manager at CFC is EDSA. I worked out that they are the one thing.

Not sure if Kimenthra owns EDSA or if it's an offshoot of CFC and she is paid to manage both entities.

I was just not happy with her attitude towards me when I was at CFC (she knew me yet she shouldn't have and that was because I had complained their donor availability that in no way matched reality and she was very slow getting back to emails).

I am happy that I used a different company for my donation, but that will be how they can get discounts and make special arrangements as it is all being kept in house.

Not used Footprints but used Gilt Edge travel through ababysa and they were brilliant for car hire/hotel and transfers etc. had to pay up front etc.I would assume that if they are associated with EDSA they would be legit as they are affiliated with CFC.

    Devaki: CONGRATULATIONS! Such great news.

Crabby & Pink Shooting Star, I was referred to Faith from Footprints by Kimenthra at EDSA. I found her quite pushy and that made me uncomfortable. My sense was (and I was incredibly hormonal) that she wanted more business from foreign medical tourists than she wanted to help me. Even after I found accommodation through a B&B owner, Faith kept e-mailing me asking for info on this forum and if I could help her get business. Of all the interactions I have had, she has made me the most uncomfortable. Please let me know how things work out crabby. I do think she is legit however as the clinic has a lot to lose if they refer someone disreputable.

I used tripadvisor and the clinic list to find Hedge House, which sounds awesome and relatively inexpensive R900. Judy from Hedge House felt bad that she couldn't host my entire stay so she called another B&B and found one closer to the clinic for R700/night.

KMP, from my associations with EDSA/CFC they have always presented a single face. I am leaving Sunday and will let you know how things go with Kimenthra. I had a different experience. I found a donor I really liked immediately and the time frame worked well for me.

Crabby, I am also very interested in the stats. The CFC website says 65%-70% success rate, which is less than the 80% roll call here. Most US clinics boast a 50%-60% success rate. Does CFC usually do 2 5-day blasts? I am very happy with the success rate (Go Team February), but want to be prepared with as much information before I get there. Does anyone know the incidence of twins? I am guessing 30% from the roll call.

Thank you all for your information and support, it has been a godsend.
