Default Egg Donation in South Africa #8

Hope all is ok Blinky - I reckon about 95% of us on the preggo thread had big bleeds - I really think it's pretty common in DE pregnancies. I had a massive one @ 6w with clots, bright red gushing blood, cramps... The works but still have my little one here. Thinking of you - it's awful
    Em x

    Thank you ladies x

So we had a scan with Warren and while it was too early to see a heartbeat we did see the yolk sac of two babies.
We also could see where the bleed was from (uterine wall).
Warren has given strict instructions for 2 weeks bed rest and added a myriad of extra meds.
I have also had a repeat blood test to test HCG levels and Anti D (I'm Rh negative, DH and the Donor are both positive).
He wants to repeat a scan on Friday (&possibly Sunday) to see if we can see heartbeats...
I thought getting a BFP was hard - this next week will be torture. Thank Goodness for the Valium & Brandy he has prescribed..

    No two seperate sacs...
I'll get excited about that little bit of news once we have the bleed under control.

Devaki - thanks for the heads up. Warrens instructions were almost identical to what you suggested x
Apparently he insists I take the Valium with whiskey or brandy...DH thought he was joking , warren set him straight 🙀

Emski yes Maxalt... it's the same risk category as ondansetron which many people take like lollies throughout.

Last week Maxalt didnt work 😣 but this afternoon relief. I've taken the opportunity for a big grocery shop. Apple and rhubarb cooked up and steak with vege risotto for dinner. First real food in days.

My doctor is going to look at options and talk to me tomorrow. If Maxalt will work it's awesome but yes I don't want to take too much unnecessarily.

Blinky oh dear. Should you get some new bloods? ehat did Wazza say? Thinking of you.

Lisa I'd say that things don't prob move too quickly there if the doctor is relying on staff. Email your agency to chase them up. That's what you pay them for. Or phone them.....I did that to stress my point.

Oh Blinky I am so glad to hear that you saw the sacks! HB is early so hang in there....soon soon you'll hear them! Gosh I wish we could push our beds next to each other now lol And Warren doesn't joke abt the brandy...it's actually good for blood circulation! Well, I hate brandy so I've had half a glass of red wine instead the last few nights. Valium keeps you spaced out so just sleep, relax and ask friends to come over with pastries and coffee for a chat. It's boring but we do it for a very good cause Good book, crappy magazines, daytime tv....lol And most importantly, you don't have to cook or clean

I had exact same scenario with my son and it all worked out well so im hoping it'll work this time too and it'll work for you too!

    Big hugs xxx

Canuck we got our donor an opal necklace - it was about $100 from memory. They just don't want you spending too much x
