PSS - like you not had ivf and the womb lining issue was the one concerning me also...but can't think that means you should delay but maybe get pre SA input with checking lining ....
Prob be there same time as you!
Bit concerned as paid deposit nearly 3 weeks ago and they are meant to check the donor but haven't got back to me and I keep e mailing ....
I keep hoping it's because they are so busy helping all you lovely ladies who have just been or are still in SA!

Pink - no real diet as such. In fact all specialists I have seen have really only advised moderation/ healthy varied diet in the months leading up to cycling and not to do any drastic 'diet' in the month before. I have been told in the past to eliminate alcohol and caffeine but my current FS disputes this and says just to limit (and don't consume stupid amounts).

For Lining I have been told eggs and avocado can help increase lining. (I have never had to test this theory however as my lining is the other extreme )..

I have to say I am really encouraged by your resilience and to be so organised to already have plans in place to go again so quickly... Xx

Crabby - 3 weeks does seem like a long time - perhaps contact your agency and get them to help intervene to get an answer?
I always CC'd our nurse coordinator, dr and agency contact in every email to ensure it didn't slip through the cracks..

Thanks everyone for the airbnb replies. I was trying to scroll through all the old info and just couldn't find it. We've ended up sending off a request for an apartment in greenpoint - first time using airbnb and nervously joking about arriving to find we have nowhere to stay.

Miss Sagi - how fantastic for you. I know you want the official blood test but that's a really awesome indication. 🎈

Mrserin - thank you for sharing a pic of your beautiful Leah. Congratulations to you.

Sardy - if you're still reading along - congrats to you too.

Devaki - great number of fertilised eggs - an awesome start.

Faith - all the best for your tww 😊

Gawd Blinky - I'm dreading the flights :-/ you're a stronger person than me delaying your BT but I understand your reasoning.

PSS - I don't know about specific diets. I'm a believer in healthy clean eating. Lots of salads, veggies, whole grains etc. That's not to say I don't have the odd bit of chockie etc. And of course limit alcohol.
Do you have a local FS I have a great one in brisbane and he helps with a supplementary plan ect. Which helps deal with lining issues and the like. He also gives a vitamin list to take. I don't really think it's too early to go back. I'd feel comfortable doing so anyway.
As for extra tests. I'm having a hysteroscopy in the next couple of weeks to test for NK cells. I'd never heard of them until recently. This is likely to be our last hoorah and I didn't want any what ifs if it doesn't work.

Annabelle - sounds like things are going well for you on the egg front and a bit of cheeky fun too πŸ˜‰ did you book your tour for Monday? Sounds like it should be fine to do.

Emmajane - I am a bit OCD and so we planned everything. We went a bit early to do a safari. Then back to Joburg for the process to begin. I would say just be really clear when you're needed in the clinic etc. I sent all my itinerary plans to my clinic contact incase I was overlooking anything.

Take care - look forward to hearing great results this week.

I had isdues with Danelle at CFC which are still ongoing.... email addresses etc. I got so fed up I actually phoned them. My donor agency said to always cc them so they could follow up if my questions were not answered. I also started emailing my doctor and she sorted everything out. I was annoyed that it took so much effort but in the end my questions were answered and I got to cycle when it suited me and not when they booked it in.

@pinkshootingstar, I don't have any special diet and actually the last few months I've been slack with everything, even vitamins... taking them only every other day. I have a lapband so some days its a real struggle to get them down.
You have to go with your instinct on when to go back. If you feel its right to go in March then you should go. If you choose to have immune testing you will be waiting a while longer and you have to find a FS in WA that believes in them, which I think are few and far between over there, coming from another immune buddy. You can always consider testing if you have to go back a third time, but I know you won't need to 😊. I say March is a good time to go to SA!

Miss Sagi – Congrats on your BFP! Good luck for your BT today. Can’t wait to hear results.

Annabelle – congrats on getting 100% fertilisation rate. That’s fab. Adrian sounds like just the type of guide a single chick needs!

Devaki – that is a great Day 3 report. Sounds like you will have 10 at Day 5.

MrsErin – I congratulated you on the Over 40 Preggy board. Erin is just gorgeous.

Sardy – congrats on your 2nd DE pregnancy.

Faith – congrats on getting 6 to the freezer

Pink – I am really sorry to read of your BFN. You have a great attitude in being proactive and you have another trip to look forward to.

Hoping4best – we stayed in a beautiful waterfront 2 bedroom apartment at The Waterfront. It was only A$150 per night (this was in Winter though) and we loved it. Will stay there again if we go back.

Blinky – good luck for your BT this week.

KLM – good luck for your upcoming trip. I really hope this is 3rd time lucky for you.

Emmajane - we planned our safari before our egg collection & transfer. Then we did day trips, Cape Town stuff after egg retrieval so we were close by if need be.
