Blinky, you know what your doing don't you, I havent got any appts in yet. FS wouldnt book one until after my 3rd blood test....which I'm obviously not going to get the results today....a long wait to Monday....might have to go and buy more FRERs to get me through the weekend! Haha

Miss Sagi how frustrating. Hoping results are bang on track. Yes I didn't see anyone until after 6 weeks for heartbeat scan. Good luck ladies.

Is your GP also on the bloods request? If the clinic is open tomorrow or they know your lab record number they can log in and get the results for you.

KMP, Good thinking, GP was actually on the form as i forgot to cross it out. They wouldnt give them to me over the phone, they would make me book an appt ( thats why I dont send them copies of anything!)

Oh shame but GP medicolegally must be informed as that was how you got to FS..... in Medicare thinking. GP is ultimate holder of your information. I was waiting at GP clinic for my mum the other day and my GP subtly asked if I was cooking along well. I hadn't seen him since Oct or Nov.... but I know he gets my blood results 😆.

Miss Sagi the problem is your specialist is sharing that information with them as they have a right to access that information. Your specialist will think that has been passed on as part of the legal requirement to report. It's the same as sending the letters back to them. There is a requirement under Medicare otherwise no GP referral Medicare will not pay towards specialist appointments. Medicare is complicated, but as a medical practitioner there are very clear and specific laws about reporting back to the referrer, sorry. They have to be informed.

It wouldn't even matter if they weren't on the form. If your GP has your QML or S and N unit record number they can log in and see any results. We can access lab results, xrays and anything really this way. It makes life easier when people lose paperwork or xrays as you can download films and reports.
