@bbhope tonight DH made the comment that it is like the urologist doesn't want to pass people on to other urologists because he didn't tell Dr Chung everything when he was speaking to him. I will look in the previous azoo thread and see if anyone went through Dr Chung.

Well, who would pass on their business to others and admit that others are better? Especially you guys are clearly going elsewhere.

I know DrG did it with jenni because interstate ivf is complicated and he knows one good dr in melbourne! He did suggest DrJ to us in WA but we told him outright that she only does TESE not mTESE.

@bbhope that is nice that DrG suggests dr's who do it .

We will be doing a consult with him after Dr Chung as DH wants to make sure he will have testicles left! He also said maybe we need to make sure the procedure the urologist mentioned to him is the same as the one we want lol.

I imagine alot of questions will be asked! I am very curious to what the procedure is that involves no testicles being left at all....

    Default Azoospermia #2

Hehe...I think some drs think we are stupid and know nothing.

Anyway, Google DrSilber in St Louis Azoospermia. Have a read. He describes the micro-surgical approach (mTESE). He has a view opposing micro-dissection (mTESE). Well, he doesn't say it out but he points to the New York surgeons. That's where micro-dissection technique was invented. I am just second guessing here. Unless he is referring to those who don't know what they r doing. Hormone replacement therapy is mentioned there.

Not quite the same. I think I explained this in a pm to determinedone. You can find dr who does micro-surgical TESE here in Perth even the OB who I am seeing for a different thing. But he doesn't do it for living so doesn't advertise himself with it. I personally like to go with someone does this for living. That's why we went to drJ who is an andrologist at the beginning.

So is just a difference of if they are trained to do it for a living?

My only thought was that they were different surgeries and that is where the urologist got confused?

    Default Hi

hi all, just have a quick question about the cost of MTESE and TESE and are these procedures covered by your private health insurance?
