@DererminedOne thanks for that info. I thing I have learnt is to see more than 1 . Though I love our FS she is the nicest lady and she automatically had CF on the test for DH without me even asking. My weight should be fine unless I put on more kg.

What MGC Bertie said about the big fat juice ones is what DrP said to us today

@DererminedOne did he mention what the cost was not including rebates? DH and I were trying to guess today and we guessed maybe $6-8k considering the TESA was abouy $4k

@DererminedOne is 40.9 if what is written by the dr is the correct. I am going to get them sent to us because we will need them.

Yes you will need them get a copy of everything, its luck I had requested (which they didn rely want to give me...but anyway) ages ago to get them the only thing I didn't have was AMH??? which was done.. anyway it was good to be able to send them through with the referral and DrP had it in front of him today while skyping.

Oh an another great thing is that all correspondence DrP sends out I all ways get a emailed copy.....very professional unlike the last place pfffft!!!

That is great @DererminedOne. It would be great to have a copy emailed to keep on file.

OK, i am siting down to write a proper reply.

I always just tick the box, copy to patient myself or wtite it on the form. No, dont do it in front of the path person. They wont let you do it.

Any IVF related referral, I would recommend to get it from GP. Specialist referral only lasts 3 months, GP's 1 year. Sometime things take a while to keep moving, especially scheduling mTESE.

@DeterminedOne: again, I am glad that you had a good chat with DrP. Thanks to Bertie, who wrote me the list, DH had all his BTs done, including inhibin B, when we spoke to DrG. So we didnt waste extra time for second consult and went straight to scheduling mTESE. The reason i dont think it can be CF because that would be likely OA (although not always). Do you know if DrP is offering himself to the surgery or pairing up with DrG or DrK (a new young urologist who is trained under drG and in the US)? She is also highly recommended by my FS).

IVFA does have a personal touch which i like. I love my FS. That's the only reason why i was willing to wait out the 4 months donor waiting period with them. It makes no different for me to go to QLD/VIC because I've to do interstate no matter what. And there is no waiting list in these two states. I was very close of moving to a Gold Coast clinic after no luck with IVFA donor and was running out of patience. I am glad that a suitable donor popped up in Dec just before my appt with Gold Coast in early Jan. I was able to start straight away. After my 2nd failed cycle, last of our bio embie, FS phoned me in person to discuss several things. I was so embarrassed to ask if she wanted to charge me for consultation fee at the end. No, it was just a friendly phone call. I asked because I got that kind of impression from all the Drs here in Perth! ie, if you want to talk a FS just to ask a simple question, you have to make an appt and pay. I can only recommend one clinic in Perth which still has a personal touch without the selfish business mindset.

As for your AMH, I don't know how old you are. You can have a look at this chart. http://ivf.com.au/ovarian-reserve-amh-test
I don't remember mine. Something like 20. It is average for my age. But that's 3 yrs ago. It would be lower by now. That's the only test I got DrJ to let me do. FS did underestimated me so i was a pretty poor responder. Well, not that we have that many sperms to use. Because of her proactive attitude, my protocol and meds were changed completely on my second cycle. I am still not producing as many eggs like everyone else despite a higher dosage, different med the second time around. But hey...i got good embies in the end. That's all matter. Well, i am still being very cautious at this stage.

@MGC Bertie: it must be nerve wracking to get that kind of phone call! Funny, all the clinics i have dealt with, no one ever left such message on the phone. If you miss the call, you have to phone them. I hope there is nothing to worry about. Perhaps it is just your age factored into the high risk group. Let's us know how your appt goes with DrM.

@Malak: I think one of the gals in here on this thread earlier on went through Dr Chung. @DJNette and @MissJude, who did you go with? I think your urologist just doesn't know what he is talking about. Perhaps he is one of those Dr with high ego who can't admit that he can't do it for your DH. Our previous Dr, DrJ, who DeterminedOne saw few years back, also brushed us away about the mTESE because she doesn't practice it.

All i can say is that only Drs, who don't understand how we feel and go through, push us away from the surgery. We all need a closure and know we have tried everything.
