Default Are your boobs due for a touch up?

If you haven't done it recently, give your boobs a touch up!

Day 8 of your cycle is the best day for self examination - where lumps are least likely to be hormonal. For those of you on day 8 today why don't you kill 2 birds with one stone and give your partner a valentines gift he/she won't forget!

1 in 8 women will be affected by breast cancer - even those like a lovely hubber who is under 40 and breastfed 2 kids (supposedly a protective measure).

When was the last time you gave yourself a touch up?
    - about 6 months for me... Yup I need to get cracking.

This is for the lovely hubber who is technologically challenged and isn't sure how to start a new thread

Thanks for the info about day 8 being the best day to examine. I didn't know that.
Can I ask what led you to have a mammogram?

I wonder if there is free screening for over 40's where I live... That would be one good thing about reaching the big 4-0!

I had a mammogram when I was overseas because lumps were found. Only 30 at the time and it turned out to be normal lumps if that makes sense - doctors were over cautious which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I had some weird breast pain late last year and had a breast ultrasound. Was all clear. I was sent for the ultrasound because I had a specific area of pain and being under 40 breast tissue is apparently denser and ultrasound is more accurate.

A friend (in her 30s) found a lump in her breast recently and it was a very good reminder. She's having surgery to have it removed and hopefully the tests will come back that it's benign but we definitely need to check on a regular basis because finding these things early is so important!
