Default *spin off* What are you doing for Valentine's Day?

@Alleyoop's thread about VD inspired this convo in our house:

Me: Honeypie, do you want anything for Valentine's Day?
    DH: No.
    Me: Oh.
    DH: Do you?
    Me: Yeah.
    DH: What?
    Me: I don't know.

    I'm so helpful!

Also, @GucciDahling, your post in the other thread reminded me that I did order this card for him online!

We are going to dinner at DF'S parent's house because it's his Auntie's last weekend before she goes back to England.
Not uber romantic, but nice and I don't have to cook

I also made him a card.

I don't usually do anything for Dh so this year will be no exception.

He has on occasion bought me flowers on Valentine's Day if he drives past a roadside flower stand.. Time Will tell lol

As usual absolutely nothing. It's just not our thing.

We don't usually do anything but DH always buys me a bunch of flowers ( and DS gets me a single rose ) and I usually get him one of those giant toblerones or mini buckets of m & ms! ( he just got his new car yesterday so I might claim that as a present!)

Nothing. One year DH handed me a bottle of wine and said "this may or may not be for the overly commercialised holiday you choose to celebrate"
    Err, thanks?

We're going out for dinner... next weekend.

We have the kids this weekend, so they will get a rose each from us, and some chocolate hearts. They usually make us a card too.

Our anniversary (wedding) is next month, and another anniversary (first meeting) is the month after, so we are just using V Day as an excuse for our monthly date night.

Getting some drive thru and doin' it twice.

    Just kidding

Seriously, we don't celebrate it. We're pretty kind and loving to each other on the regular so we don't feel obligated to buy stuffed teddy bears and jewellery because the 14th of Feb says so
