I know there is a snowball's chance with this one, but... I have had a song in my head constantly on and off (if that is even a thing!) for about five years now. I just realised we used to sing it when I went to Nedlands Primary in Perth in the mid-80s, and I loooooooooooved it.
I think it's an local Indigenous song, which is why where I went to school is relevant. It starts off 'I wonder wonder why, the stars are in the sky? Wombalalalala wombalalalaling ah. And why the moon's so round, and so far from the ground? Etc' then the middle part goes 'the stars are there at night so we can keep their light...' Then I can't remember the rest.
Does this ring a bell to anyone? I will offer a prize to anyone who can help me solve the mystery!
